Earn 20x Everyday Rewards points on all denominations of Apple gift cards at Woolworths. You can use Apple gift cards to pay for devices, apps and subscriptions sold by Apple.
If you were planning an Apple purchase, this could be a great way to earn some easy points. A $1,000 spend, for example, would see you receive either 10,000 Qantas points or $100 worth of Everyday Rewards Dollars.
Here are the details:
- Runs from Wed 17 Jul to Tue 23 Jul 2024.
- Only available in-store at Woolworths.
- Limit of ten fixed value gift cards per day (multiple transactions allowed).
- Limit of ten variable load gift cards per day (one transaction per day).
- This offer is open to everyone and does not require activation.
How it works
Simply scan your Everyday Rewards card when purchasing any Apple gift cards at Woolworths between 17 Jul and 23 Jul 2024 to earn 20x points per dollar spent. The points should be immediately credited to your account upon payment.
Don’t worry if this offer doesn’t appear in your app; these weekly gift card promotions are from the catalogue so they’re open to all Everyday Rewards members by default. You don’t need to activate or “boost” anything to participate.
This promotion is from the Woolworths catalogue so it’s open to all Everyday Rewards members. Sometimes they advertise these in-store gift card offers in the app but you don’t need to “boost” them.
Make sure you don’t buy more than ten fixed value and ten variable load Apple gift cards per day. If you’re after multiple of the variable load $20-500 cards, remember that you have to buy them in the same transaction each day.
Apple has an eight gift card limit for purchases but you can easily get around this by redeeming the gift cards onto your Apple account. You can checkout using a combination of your Apple account balance (up to $4,999) plus another eight unredeemed gift cards on top.
Apple will also price match other retailers up to 10% off if you call them (133-622) so it’s always worth checking the price at Amazon, JB Hi-Fi, Officeworks etc. You can pay for a price matched order with gift cards or your Apple account balance.

Warning
There have been a number of reports of tampered Apple gift cards being sold by both Coles and Woolworths. Check for signs of tampering by opening up the gift card and confirming that the serial number on the outside matches the one on the inside. If the numbers don’t match, don’t buy the gift cards.

Just wondering about the double dipping part…Looked at the T&Cs where it says “Qantas Points will not be earned on the purchase of a gift card; where a gift card or voucher is used as a payment method (whether for full or part payment); or where a coupon or discount code is used (unless that coupon or discount code is valid and listed on Qantas Shopping).”. Does this mean we will not be able to earn points if we use the gift cards acquired from this deal as payment?
Ah, it looks like they’ve just changed the terms and conditions. Previously, they never mentioned anything about payments with gift cards so it was always possible to double dip and receive both sets of points.
It’s possible that this restriction isn’t actually enforced but I’ve amended the article just in case it actually is. Thanks.
Or, does that refer statement refer to gift cards purchased through the online Apple Store via the Qantas Mall? The 20X deal with Woollies is connected to their Rewards points scheme – the gift cards are not purchased through the Qantas Mall/Apple site. Anyway, I’ll let you know after tomorrow!
Just tried to buy 3 variable load and some fixed amount cards, was told the maximum for giftcards per day was $1,000. Is this a new rule?
All stores are different. Some set smaller limits which can only be overridden with the manager’s approval.
Right I see. The manager said sometimes customers don’t see points come through for anything more than $1,000 so they’ve set the max at that to save them the hassle. I’ll have to just go back tomorrow 😊
