Earn up to 45,000 Flybuys points and save up to $20 each month when you sign up for home internet with Optus and stay connected for three months.
For example, if you signed up for a BYO modem Home Fast NBN plan (500/50mbps) for three months you would earn a total of 40,000 Flybuys points for a monthly cost of just $79 (normally $99).
40,000 Flybuys points are worth $200 if redeemed at a Flybuys partner such as Coles, Kmart, Target or Officeworks. You could also convert them to 20,000 Velocity points which are potentially worth more than $200.
After the three months are up and your bonus Flybuys points have been credited you can just switch to a cheaper internet provider as there’s no need to remain with Optus any longer.

What is the minimum cost of $255 made up of? If I choose a BYO modem, min cost seems to be only 1 month’s cost.
The $255 minimum cost is just for the 4G plan as that requires a modem. With the NBN plans you don’t have to use their modem so the minimum cost is just one month of internet.
Offer page doesn’t seem to load 5G plan options when selecting a unit with no NBN availability.
I already have an active points earning plan with AGL….do you know if I can apply before the cut off date and set my service to start a few months in the future, and still get all the bonus points?
You usually can’t set a connection date for more than 30 days in advance. Double check with Optus if you want to be certain.
Their sign up page is very confusing but then again im old. I went with the 500 for $79 for 30000 points rather than the $109 for an extra 5000 points. Looked better value to me.
The $109/mo “promo” plan includes a $20/mo credit to spend on streaming services. The $79/mo one is indeed better value as you say.
So it didn’t go well. I’m on 1000 mps with superloop. Given them the notice required. Optus say they cant transfer me to them as i don’t have FTTP. Strange cause when i enter may address on their website which is a terrible design it says im on FTTP.
Can’t seem to find the option to set the connection date? Was looking to sign-up on the last day of the promo and set the connection to 30 days from then as I have an active promo with another ISP. I got to the checkout stage and still no option to set it.
Same. Ill come back in 3 weeks
Is there an exclusion period if we’ve taken up a similar offer from Optus in the past 12 months (and since cancelled the service)? Can’t see anything suggesting there is in the Ts and Cs
I’d recommend having Optus confirm your eligibility over live chat so you have proof.
Is the website broken at the moment?
When I first looked, it showed plans under Step 3, now it just shows nothing.
