20,000 Everyday Rewards points and $15 off each month for six months when you sign up to Origin internet

Receive 20,000 bonus Everyday Rewards points when you sign up for an NBN or Opticomm fibre internet plan through Origin as a new customer. Plus, you’ll also save $15 per month for the first six months and unlock a year of free Paramount+.

20,000 Everyday Rewards points can be converted to either 10,000 Qantas points or $100 worth of Everyday Rewards Dollars to spend at Woolworths, Big W, BWS and so on.

Origin’s internet plans are a bit pricier than their competitors so the $15 monthly discount makes this a very compelling offer. Even if you do end up paying a few dollars more than your current plan, it’s well worth it for the 20,000 points.

They say that the points are credited approximately 45 days after you sign up. However, when I took up their last 20,000 points offer I selected my connection date to be a month later so the points actually arrived just three days after my Origin service was connected.

  1. If you’ve already taken advantage of the last offer, do you think closing your account and reopening shortly after would qualify you as a “new customer” under the T&Cs? Thanks for all your posts too, have saved my family a fortune!

  2. Can you sign up and cancel after the points are awarded or is there a minimum stay period applicable?

    1. I cannot see any minimum stay in the terms and conditions. If you want to be extra safe, you can always ask Origin on live chat so you have it in writing.

      1. Do I still get the points if sign up during the promotion period, but set the connection date to be after? And if so, how far advance can I set the connection date? Thanks in advanced for any help.

      2. With their last offer I signed up on the final day (3 Dec) but didn’t set my connection date until a month later and I still received the points. I’m not sure how far in advance you can set the connection date but at least a month.
