This is the same amount of points you would earn if you bought Apple gift cards during one of the frequent 20x Everyday Rewards points offers in-store at Woolworths as 2,000 Everyday Rewards points converts to 1,000 Qantas points.
However, this offer has a few significant advantages. For one, you can buy them online so you don’t need to worry about making a trip to Woolworths. There’s also no purchase limit as far as we can tell so you should have no trouble buying several thousand dollars of cards.
Perhaps the greatest benefit of this offer is that there’s no risk of buying a tampered Apple gift card. That’s a problem that’s unfortunately quite common nowadays with the in-store promotions as the gift cards on public display can be compromised by scammers.
Qantas Marketplace used to always credit points around 1-2 days after your purchase but lately it seems they’ve improved this so you could potentially receive them within just a few hours.
If you a have a points earning card that offers additional points for spending with Qantas then these gift cards should also qualify as purchases on Qantas Marketplace are usually treated the same as if you were booking airfares.
You can also save 20% when using your points to purchase the gift card but this isn’t recommended as using Qantas points to buy gift cards is one of the worst value redemptions. Only pay for these gift cards with money.

Hi there, i would like to but $5000 worth of Apple cards….does that equate to 50,000 Qantas points? Then, will Apple accept multiple cards as payment? (phone and Mac) TIA
$5,000 worth of Apple gift cards would indeed earn you 50,000 Qantas points. Apple will let you pay online using your Apple account balance (loaded with up to $4,999 worth of gift cards) plus another eight unredeemed gift cards on top so you won’t have any issues using that many.
Excellent find!… Just bought $3k of apple gift cards and used them to purchase a MBA, and earned 30,000 ff points, plus Apple offer 2 points per $1 for purchase on their site = another $6k points
I’m nervous about purchasing this as it doesn’t seem to let me pay via card, the default is using my points. Is there a final step where I can select to use 0 points?
When you checkout there is a slider to pick points, dollars or a mix. Slide it all the way to the right and it will be dollars only.

Can these be sold to other people or is it loaded straight to your account?
You’re sent a link to access the Apple gift card code so you could send it to someone else if you wanted to. That being said, selling gift cards can be very risky so I’m not sure it’s worthwhile.
