The terms and conditions mention nothing about gift cards so you should be able to earn an extra 3x Qantas points per dollar by paying with Airbnb gift cards you purchased on Qantas Marketplace.

500 bonus Qantas Points will be awarded to Qantas Frequent Flyer members who make their first Airbnb booking. Qantas Frequent Flyer members will earn 1 Qantas Point per A$1 value for all Airbnb stays booked through qantas.com/airbnb.

It seems that you cant make air bnb bookings via qantas using the gift cards – the only options are credit card or paypal. So apparently these deals are mutually exclusive.
You can take advantage of both. After you have redeemed your Airbnb gift cards to your account, it will automatically apply your credit when you go to book your stay after clicking through the Airbnb page on Qantas Hotels.
Thanks – eventually got there, but after you get redirected from the qantas page to the air bnb page, there is no hint that you are earning points. Will have to keep an eye on my FF balance! Also signing up for air bnb as a new user with an old phone and a pc without a web cam has been quite an experience!
