The thing about these Flybuys to Velocity transfer bonuses is that they sometimes offer 5-15% extra points instead of just a fixed bonus like we have here. For that reason, anyone considering this offer should just perform a manual transfer of the minimum 1,000 Flybuys points.
If you enable Auto Transfer for the first time for this offer you’ll likely regret it if they run another 15% bonus because you could have earned far more points.
Terms and conditions
Between 12:00am AEDT on Tues 26 Nov 2024 and 11.59 pm AEDT on Fri 31 Jan 2025 (Promotion Period), Flybuys and Velocity Frequent Flyer Members who link their Velocity Frequent Flyer membership to their Flybuys account will receive one of the two below offers, which will be credited on the first eligible transfer the member successfully completes during the Promotion Period:
- Members will receive 250 bonus Velocity Points and 250 Flybuys bonus points if they choose to complete a manual transfer of a minimum 1,000 Flybuys points to 500 Velocity Points as their first Velocity transfer within the Promotion Period (this does not need to be their first ever Velocity manual transfer). If a member completes a manual transfer first during the Promotion Period, they will not be eligible to receive the Auto Transfer bonus points offer. Members who have previously completed a Manual Transfer from their Flybuys to Velocity Account prior to the Promotion Period are still eligible for the Manual Transfer offer; or
- Members will receive 500 bonus Velocity Points and 500 Flybuys bonus points if they turn on Auto Transfer and complete their first ever auto transfer of a minimum 1,000 Flybuys points to 500 Velocity Points during the Promotion Period. Members must remain opted into Auto Transfer until the end of the Promotion Period to be eligible for this offer. Members who have opted into the Auto Transfer functionality prior to the Promotion Period but have never completed an Auto Transfer are eligible for this Auto Transfer offer. This offer is not available to members who have previously completed an Auto Transfer prior to the Promotion Period. If a member completes an eligible Auto Transfer first during the Promotion Period, they will not be eligible to receive the Manual Transfer bonus points offer.
Members are only eligible to receive one Bonus Points offer during the Promotion Period which will be the first eligible transfer that the Member completes during the Promotion Period. Your Flybuys and Velocity accounts must remain linked until the end of the Promotion Period to be eligible to receive this offer. This Bonus Points offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.
Velocity Frequent Flyer Points will be credited to the linked Velocity account. Flybuys points will be credited to the linked Flybuys account. Bonus points will be credited as outlined below:
- Any qualifying transfer made by Tue 31 Dec 2024 will receive Flybuys & Velocity bonus points by Mon 13 Jan 2025.
- Any qualifying transfer made from Wed 1 Jan 2024 to Fri 31 Jan 2025 will receive Flybuys & Velocity bonus points by Mon 10 Feb
