Earn up to 15,000 Velocity points when you take out a new pet insurance policy through Medibank and use the code VELOCITYPET:

The bonus points will be credited within 10 business days of each milestone. You can earn them on a maximum of two policies but your pets cannot have previously been covered by Medibank within the past 12 months.
Even if you’re not really interested in pet insurance, this could be a cheap way to earn tens of thousands of Velocity points since you only have to stay for 90 days to receive the primary bonus of 10,000 points.
Some cats can be covered for as little as ~$205 per year and if you cancel after 90 days you’ll receive a pro rata refund for the unused portion of your premium, meaning the total cost of the initial 10,000 points could be as little as $50 or so.
However, for those of you thinking that you can just make up an imaginary pet to earn some easy points, you should know that the terms and conditions state that Medibank may request proof of its existence.
The secondary bonus of 5,000 points likely isn’t worth pursuing unless you were already intending to stay with Medibank for 11 months or more. If that’s your plan, make sure you compare coverage and prices with other providers.
