Earn 10x Qantas points per dollar spent when you purchase digital Apple gift cards on Qantas Marketplace.
The points for Qantas Marketplace purchases typically credit within 1-2 days. Apple gift cards can be used to pay for devices, apps, subscriptions and more.
Whilst 10x Qantas points is the same amount that you would earn from the frequent 20x Everyday Rewards points offers (2,000 Everyday Rewards = 1,000 Qantas points), this offer does have some significant advantages.
It’s completely online so you don’t have to worry about buying tampered physical gift cards. Also, there appears to be no purchase limit so you should be able to buy as much as you want.
Some credit cards also earn additional points when spending with Qantas which includes Qantas Marketplace. Even the prepaid Qantas Pay card that anyone can get (no credit check required) earns 1.25x points per dollar spent on Qantas Marketplace.
Apple will let you purchase devices online using your Apple account balance (loaded with up to $4,999 worth of gift cards) plus another eight gift cards so very large purchases are possible.
You may also be able to earn some extra Qantas points by clicking through the Apple page on Qantas Shopping before completing your purchase. Officially, this excludes payments with gift cards but it doesn’t mention anything about using your account balance to pay (even if it’s loaded entirely with gift cards).
The Apple page on Qantas Shopping currently excludes the iPhone 17 from earning these extra points. However, last year the iPhone 16 was removed from the exclusions list in early December so it’s possible the iPhone 17 will follow a similar timeline.
Apple will price match selected other retailers up to 10% off if you call them on 133-622. You can still pay with gift cards or an account balance when price matching but you won’t be able to earn the extra Qantas Shopping points.

Hi, do you know how often this offer runs yearly? I’ll need to purchase an iPhone but not recently, so just wondering if I should buy it now or wait for the next same offer. Thank you.
This is the fourth time this year that Qantas Marketplace have run this offer. Even more common are the 20x Everyday Rewards points (equivalent to 10x Qantas points) offers on Apple gift cards so you usually never have to wait more than a few weeks for another one to start.
