Earn up to 110 Status Credits when you register for this offer by 31 Oct 2025 and earn 1,000 Qantas points or more in various categories on the ground by 31 Dec 2025. The points must be credited to your account by 31 Mar 2026.

Ordinarily, Status Credits can only be earned from flying so this offer makes it easier for those who don’t fly often to climb the ranks of the Qantas status system and unlock perks like lounge access, priority boarding and preferential access to Classic Reward seats.

There are eight categories that you can earn the bonus Status Credits in with some awarding 20 and others 10:

  • Cards and Banking – 20 SCs
  • Insurance – 20 SCs
  • Utilities and Services – 20 SCs
  • Hotels and Travel – 10 SCs
  • Fuel and Car – 10 SCs
  • Food and Wine – 10 SCs
  • Shopping – 10 SCs
  • Health, Leisure and Entertainment – 10 SCs

The Status Credits will be credited to your account within six to eight weeks of you earning 1,000 points or more in each category. You only earn the bonus Status Credits once for each category.

    1. It says Qantas Marketplace is included for the Shopping category so I don’t see why not.

  1. This is great! Just some questions.

“Qantas Points earned with a Qantas Points earning credit card” – Meaning my points per dollar spent on my Amex are eligible.

“Qantas Travel Insurance” – I’m looking at a one-day Australian Comprehensive cover for $26.00. Would that be eligible?

    Thanks

Yes, as long as you’re earning Qantas points directly on the card and not another type of points that you then convert to Qantas

Qantas Travel Insurance is included but remember that you still need to earn at least 1,000 points in that category. I believe you’ll only earn 126 points in total when buying a $26 policy.

      1. Thanks so much! I didn’t read the insurance one properly lol. But, it will be interesting to see what someone finds for the cheapest insurance offer.

      3. I’ve done it before this offer and worked fine. When I have had issues I would usually turn off my ad blocker or try a different browser.

  2. Not sure if anyone can find a better deal, but in the insurance segment I found travel insurance for a two-week trip to New Zealand for exactly $100 (just play around with the dates) and picked up 1,000 bonus points. That is $100 for 20 Qantas Status Credits. Could be worth it if you are not travelling before the end of the year and other insurance options are not practical.

  3. Does the ‘Health, Leisure and Entertainment’ category only cover Hoyts, or would the Kayo 1,000 Qantas Points offer count as well?

  4. Cards, Wine, QMP are the easy ones – thats 40 SC off the bat. Am sure between bp and Uber you could get that one without too much bother (in 3 months), and I’m due to get new car insurance so will combine with the 30k points for $2k policy…. That should get me to 70
