Velocity have kicked off their Travel Tuesday promotion, allowing members to earn triple Velocity points when flying on Virgin Australia or spending with a number of their partners.

The standout offers here are the triple points on Virgin Australia flights and hotels booked via Rocket Travel. If you were already planning to book flights or accomodation this week, these offers could be a great way to earn a lot more points than you otherwise would have.
As always, it’s a good idea to compare prices before booking flights and hotels. Given what Velocity points can be worth, it can sometimes be worthwhile paying a little bit extra if it means you’ll earn a whole heap of points – just don’t pay too much.
Terms and conditions
To be eligible for the Travel Tuesday Triple Points promotion you must (1) Activate this offer through the activation link between 12.01am AEST 3 December 2024 and 11.59pm AEST 5 December 2024 inclusive (Promotion Period); (2) after offer activation, book and ticket an Eligible Flight during the Promotion Period and enter a valid Velocity membership number at the time of booking; and (3) complete travel on the Eligible Flight booked during the Promotion Period. An Eligible Flight is any Domestic, Trans-Tasman or International Short Haul Virgin Australia marketed and operated flight for travel between 3 December 2024 and 31 March 2025 (inclusive) that normally accrues Points. Points cannot be earned on Velocity Reward Seat bookings. Codeshare services marketed or operated by partner airlines are not eligible for this offer. Bonus Velocity Points will be earned in addition to base Velocity Points earned. Bonus Points will be applied to the originally purchased fare class and any upgrades (other than when you paid the full commercial fare) will not attract Bonus Points as a result of this offer. There is no limit on the amount of times this offer can be redeemed. You should allow up to 4 weeks after completion of travel for the bonus Velocity Points to be allocated. Platinum, Gold and Silver members also earn a Points bonus in addition to the Base Points earned. Silver members will receive an additional 50% Points; Gold members will receive an additional 75% Points; and Platinum members will receive an additional 100% Points. The Points bonus does not apply to Economy Lite fares. Base Points refers to the minimum number of Points that can be earned for an eligible activity or transaction by a Red member.
