Switch your gas, electricity or both to AGL and you could earn up to 20,000 bonus Velocity points. The amount of points you earn varies depending on what you sign up for and how long you remain with AGL.
Initial points (allocated within 45 days of supply commencing):
- Electricity – 10,000 Velocity points
- Gas – 5,000 Velocity points
- Electricity and gas – 15,000 Velocity points
Anniversary points (credited after you remain on the plan for twelve months):
- Electricity – 2,500 Velocity points
- Gas – 2,500 Velocity points
- Electricity and gas – 5,000 Velocity points
If you’re already with AGL, you can still earn up to 6,000 Velocity points (3,000 for electricity and 3,000 for gas) by switching over to the AGL Velocity plan.
Whilst 20,000 points is quite a bit less than the 35,000 points previously offered, it’s still a decent bonus and compares favourably to the Qantas points-earning Red Energy offer.

I was with AGL gas previously. about 6 months ago, I switched to Origin gas, so if I switch back to AGL, will I get Velocity bonus as new customer rate ie 10K in 45 days?
