Earn 20x Flybuys points per dollar spent on all denominations of Apple gift cards in-store at Coles.
Apple gift cards can be used to pay for devices (e.g. iPhone, iPad, Mac etc) as well as apps, subscriptions and more.
If you bought $1,500 in Apple gift cards to pay for a new iPhone, for example, you would earn a total of 30,000 Flybuys points (worth $150 or convertible to 15,000 Velocity points).
Here are the details:
- Runs from Wed 1 Apr to Tue 7 Apr 2026
- Only available in-store at Coles
- Limit of five gift cards per day per Flybuys account
- This offer is open to everyone and does not require activation
- Points are usually credited in 1-3 days
How it works
Scan your Flybuys card when purchasing Apple gift cards in-store at Coles between 1 Apr and 7 Apr 2026 and you will collect 20x points per dollar spent.
At Coles the points aren’t awarded instantly but they should appear in your account within 1-3 days. Delays of a few extra days aren’t uncommon and sometimes the points will credit in batches even if you earned them all at once.
You can buy up to five gift cards per day per Flybuys account. Since the $20-500 variable load cards are included, that means you could purchase as much as $2,500 in Apple gift cards each day.
As always, this offer won’t be shown in your Flybuys app but that’s to be expected as they typically only advertise them in-store and in the Coles catalogue. You don’t need to activate anything to earn the 20x points.

Apple gift card tampering
Apple gift cards are often targeted by scammers. Always open up each gift card before paying to check that the redemption code hasn’t been removed or defaced. You can find more information about this scam here.

whats better value flybuy dollar or velocity?
If you use Velocity points to book business class reward flights and know how to do it (it’s seldom easy) then they’re arguably the better choice. In almost every other case you’d be better off with Flybuys Dollars.
Thank you and is this the same scenario with 20x woolies rewards but with qantas?
It is. I used to recommend that everyone convert their points to Qantas and Velocity but with all the negative changes the airlines have made in recent years it’s no longer worth it for a lot of people.
Whats the best points to accumulate now?
If you’re booking business class flights and know how to do it then Qantas and Velocity can still be worthwhile.
There are some other programmes that are arguably better but at the end of the day we’re largely stuck with the big four (Qantas, Velocity, Everyday Rewards and Flybuys) because there just aren’t that many ways to earn those other points in Australia.
Excellent replies, and information, thank you.
I bought $720 worth of apple giftcard but on my flybuys activity it showed “giftcard bonus points” of only 13,680. Is this correct or should i contact flybuys?
That’s correct. You earn 19x bonus points and 1x standard point so $720×19 = 13,680.
The standard points will be listed separately in your Flybuys statement but if you bought something else in the same shop (e.g. groceries) then it’ll form part of the same overall amount.
Im guessing if i have a credit card that earns points, it makes sense to purchase them on this too?
Definitely.
Last time, the points took more than a month to show up. If anyone has received theirs, please share an update. Thanks!
