20x Flybuys points on Apple gift cards at Coles

Thanks to an anonymous source for letting us know about this offer early.

Earn 20x Flybuys points per dollar spent on all denominations of Apple gift cards at Coles. Apple gift cards can be used to pay for devices (e.g. Macs, iPads, iPhones etc) as well as apps and subscriptions.

Here are the details:

  • Runs from Wed 3 Jul to Tue 9 Jul 2024.
  • Only available in-store at Coles.
  • Limit of 50,000 points per day per Flybuys account.
  • This offer is open to everyone and does not require activation.

How do I take advantage of this offer?

To participate in this offer, buy any Apple gift cards at Coles between 3 Jul and 9 Jul 2024 and scan your Flybuys card at the checkout. The points will be credited to your Flybuys account at around 5pm on the day following your purchase.

The daily purchase limit is 50,000 points per Flybuys account so you can buy as much as $2,500 worth of cards each day. If you need more than that, you can either come back another day or use a family member’s Flybuys account to buy the additional cards.

Apple does have an eight gift card limit for online purchases but there’s an easy workaround: redeem the gift cards onto your Apple account before purchasing. When you go to pay for your item, you can use an Apple account balance (up to $4,999) plus another eight unredeemed gift cards on top.

Double dip

You can earn an additional 1x Qantas point per dollar spent if you click through Qantas Shopping before making your purchase on the Apple website. However, check the exclusions list as some products (usually new releases) are excluded from earning these points.

Alternatively, if another retailer has your item cheaper then you can call Apple on 133-622 and have them price match it. You can pay with your gift cards but since price matching is done over the phone, you can’t also earn the Qantas Shopping points; it’s one or the other.

How many points will I earn?

Warning

There have been a number of reports of tampered Apple gift cards being sold by both Coles and Woolworths. Check for signs of tampering by opening up the gift card and confirming that the serial number on the outside matches the one on the inside. If the numbers don’t match, don’t buy the gift cards.
