2,000 Velocity points when you link your DoorDash and Velocity accounts and place an eligible order

Earn 2,000 bonus Velocity points when you link your Velocity Frequent Flyer account to the DoorDash app or website and place an eligible order. Plus, you can also earn an ongoing 1x Velocity point per dollar spent.

An eligible order is defined in the terms and conditions as:

a purchase transaction (for delivery or pickup) made by a Velocity Member through the DoorDash app or www.doordash.com within Australia, other than Excluded Transactions. Velocity Points can be earned on the purchase transaction subtotal (incl. applicable fees, taxes, additional charges and delivery fees) after any other promotions or discounts have been applied. If a Gift Card is used as a payment method, Velocity Points will not be earned on the portion of the transaction paid for using the Gift Card.

Whilst they specifically state that you won’t earn any purchases made with gift cards, I am happy to report that this doesn’t appear to be enforced as I’ve received 1x Velocity point per dollar spent on all of my recent orders which were exclusively paid for using DoorDash gift cards.

That’s great news as there are many ways to save money or earn additional points on DoorDash gift cards. For example, at Woolworths and Coles they sometimes earn 20x points and other stores often sell them for 10% off. Costco members can even buy them for 20% off at any time.
