Earn 1,000 Velocity points when you book a Velocity Ticket through either Event Cinemas or Village Cinemas. Plus, you’ll also receive a free small popcorn with every Velocity Ticket you purchase by 15 Jul 2026.
You can only earn the 1,000 points once per Velocity account. The bonus will be credited within 24 hours of your movie session.
To book a Velocity Ticket:
- Go to Event Cinemas or Village Cinemas
- Sign into your Velocity account
- Sign into your Cinebuzz or Vrewards account
- Choose the Velocity Ticket
To earn the points you must choose the Velocity Ticket which may be more expensive than other ticket types.
If you were already planning to go to the movies then it’s worth taking advantage of the initial bonus but after that you are probably better off using discounted tickets or gift cards.
Whilst the terms of this offer exclude you from using Event and Village’s own gift cards, you should be able to use the $50 TCN Cinema gift card that earns 1,000 Velocity points at Coles right now since it’s treated like a credit/debit card rather than a traditional gift card.
However, you will first need to convert the physical TCN Cinema gift card into a digital one and your purchase total on Event or Village must be less than or equal to $50 since you can’t split payments online (only in-store).
In addition to earning points on your movie tickets, you also have the option of redeeming points but this would be a terrible waste as Velocity points are best used to book reward flights.
Terms and conditions
From 12.00AM 10 June 2026 AEST until 11.59PM 15 July 2026 AEST (“Offer Period”) Velocity Members who earn or redeem Velocity Points on a Velocity Ticket at participating cinemas in the Offer Period may be eligible to:
- receive one Small Popcorn per Velocity Ticket purchased during the Offer Period (“Popcorn Offer”), excludes Gold Class and Event Boutique sessions. The Small Popcorn will automatically be allocated perVelocity Ticket at the time of purchase and there is no limit to the amount of times a Velocity Member may receive this Small Popcorn Offer. Small Popcorn to be collected at the cinema on the movie session date, which may sit outside the Offer Period; and
- earn 1,000 bonus Points on their first Velocity Ticket cinema visit during the Offer Period (“Bonus Points Offer”). The Points for an eligible transaction will be awarded up to 24 hours after the movie session. This Bonus Points Offer can only be received once by a Velocity Member for one movie session.
If a Velocity Member earns Velocity Points on a Velocity Ticket to be eligible for this offer the Earn Offer Terms & Conditions will apply. If a Velocity Member redeems Velocity Points on a Velocity Ticket to be eligible for this offer the Redemption Offer Terms and Conditions will apply.
