Whilst the Flybuys Rewards Store does include a points plus pay option, it’s shockingly bad value. As an example, a $100 gift card costs 20,000 points to buy outright but if you only have 10,000 points then it requires an additional $62.50 – not $50 as one might expect.
This offer really only makes sense for those who aren’t at all interested in converting their Flybuys points to Velocity. If you have a few Flybuys points saved up and would like to use them for a purchase at one of the many retailers supported by these gift cards then it’s a nice way to save 10%.
