Bonus 5-15% Velocity points when you transfer Flybuys points to Velocity

Earn 5% bonus Velocity points when you next manually transfer Flybuys points to Velocity and 15% if it’s your first ever Auto Transfer. These offers only run a couple of times a year and are the best way to maximise your points when transferring from Flybuys to Velocity.

Anyone can earn the 5% bonus by performing a manual transfer during the promotion period but the higher 15% bonus is exclusively for those who activate Auto Transfer for the first time ever. If you’ve ever used Auto Transfer before then you are ineligible for the 15% bonus.

The bonus points apply only to your first qualifying transfer. You can expect them to credit to your Velocity account within four weeks of the promotion ending.

The manual transfer offer is capped at 10,000 bonus points whilst the Auto Transfer offer is limited to 30,000 bonus points, meaning in both cases you can convert up to 400,000 Flybuys points (resulting in 200,000 Velocity points plus the additional 10,000-30,000 bonus points).

This offer doesn’t end until 31 Mar so don’t be too hasty in converting your points. Between now and the end of the month you’ll likely earn more Flybuys points so you should set a reminder and convert on the last day to ensure you don’t miss out on any extra bonus points.

Terms and conditions

Between 12:00am AEDT Sat 1 March 2025 and 11:59pm AEDT Mon 31 March 2025 (Promotion Period), Flybuys members who have linked their Velocity Frequent Flyer membership to their Flybuys account and make an eligible transfer of Flybuys points to Velocity during the Promotion Period will earn bonus Velocity Points based on transfer preference:

• 5% bonus Velocity Points on the value of Velocity Points received on your next manual transfer when you transfer a minimum of 1,000 Flybuys points to Velocity; or
• 15% bonus Velocity Points on the value of Velocity Points received on your first ever Auto Transfer when you transfer a minimum of 1,000 Flybuys points to Velocity. To be eligible, you must turn on Auto Transfer during the Promotion Period and the Auto Transfer must be your first ever Auto transfer.

Each Flybuys member is eligible for one allocation of bonus Velocity Points which will be calculated on the first eligible transfer that the member successfully completes during the Promotion Period. Bonus Velocity Points will be awarded to the member’s Velocity Frequent Flyer account within 4 weeks from the end of the Promotion Period. Manual transfer to receive 5% bonus Velocity Points 
If you choose to make a manual transfer as your next transfer within the Promotion Period, you will receive 5% bonus Velocity Points on the base number of Velocity Points you receive on your first manual transfer from Flybuys to Velocity during the Promotion Period. A maximum of 10,000 bonus Velocity Points for completing a manual transfer will be awarded per member during the Promotion Period.  

Auto Transfer to receive 15% bonus Velocity Points
If you choose to turn on Auto Transfer and complete an Auto Transfer as your first ever transfer during the Promotion Period, you will receive 15% bonus Velocity Points on the base number of Velocity Points you receive on your first Auto Transfer from Flybuys to Velocity during the Promotion Period. A maximum of 30,000 bonus Velocity Points for completing your first Auto Transfer will be awarded per member during the Promotion Period. This offer is not available to members who have already completed an Auto Transfer prior to the Promotion Period

If you’ve linked your Velocity Frequent Flyer membership to your Flybuys household account, you can choose to manually transfer a minimum of 1,000 Flybuys points at a time to receive 500 Velocity Points per 1,000 Flybuys points transferred to Velocity. Or, you can turn on Auto Transfer and if you choose to do this, your entire existing Flybuys points balance (to the highest multiple of 1,000 Flybuys points) will be automatically transferred to your linked Velocity account, and every 1,000 Flybuys points you subsequently collect will be automatically transferred into 500 Velocity Points. Only one Velocity membership can be linked to a Flybuys household at any one time. You can de-link or manage your linked accounts at any time at partners.flybuys.com.au/velocity-frequent-flyer/. Visit flybuys.com.au/transfer to manually transfer your Flybuys points. Alternatively, to turn on Auto Transfer, visit partners.flybuys.com.au/velocity-frequent-flyer/ and sign in to your Flybuys account then turn your Auto Transfer preference to ‘On’. This selection will apply to all members under that specific Flybuys household account. You can turn your Auto Transfer preference to ‘Off’ at any time and will still be able to manually transfer your Flybuys points to Velocity. 

Please allow up to 48 hours for Velocity Points to be credited to your linked Velocity account and for your Flybuys points balance to be updated.
