Earn 40,000 Flybuys points when you sign up for a $79/month Optus Home Fast NBN internet plan and stay for three months.
40,000 Flybuys points are worth $200 if redeemed at Coles, Kmart, Liquorland etc. Alternatively, you can convert them to 20,000 Velocity points which are potentially worth a lot more than $200 depending on how you redeem them.
With the Home Fast plan you’ll typically receive speeds of 500mbps down and 43mbps up. If your home doesn’t have a HFC or FTTP connection then you can expect speeds of 100mbps down and 18mbps up.
Some of Optus’ other internet plans also include bonus Flybuys points but the Home Fast plan represents the best value as it’s discounted from $99/month for your first year.
If you choose to bring your own modem (highly recommended) you can cancel after the three months without incurring any fees. However, if you choose to accept the Optus modem then you’ll have to pay it off if you leave within 24 months.
There is no reason to remain with Optus once you’ve received the 40,000 Flybuys points. After you’re done with them simply switch to whichever NBN provider has the best sign up bonus at that time.
