Earn either double Qantas points or double Status Credits when you activate this offer and then book an eligible flight by 11 May 2026 for travel between 12 May 2026 and 31 Aug 2026.

You must choose either double points or double Status Credits – you can’t earn both. However, you can change your selection provided you do so before the end of the promotion period.

The complete definition of an eligible flight can be found below but it’s essentially a Qantas operated and marketed flight that’s either domestic or flies directly between Australia and New Zealand.

This offer is more restrictive than the one they ran in March as it excludes most international flights and the travel period is much shorter (111 days compared to 384 days).

However, if you were already planning to book flights that are eligible then this is a nice way to pick up some extra points or get a little bit closer to reaching your next status goal.

If you’re new to frequent flyer programmes, points are the currency you use to make redemptions (e.g. flights, hotels, products etc) whereas Status Credits are what allow you to climb the ranks of the Qantas status system to unlock perks like lounge access, priority boarding and preferential access to reward seats.

Unlike points which can be earned in all sorts of ways, you can generally only earn Status Credits from actually flying so offers like this can make it a lot easier to reach tiers such as Gold or Platinum.

That being said, chasing status isn’t worthwhile for the vast majority of people since you have to fly a lot to really see the benefits.
