Qantas Marketplace’s prices aren’t very competitive but since you only have to spend $139 it could still be worthwhile if they stock something around that price that you were already planning to buy – especially if it comes with its own bonus points.
If you’re just looking to earn the most points for the lowest cost, the best deal right now appears to be these Bose headphones which should earn you a total of 31,647 points for $549 (1.7 cents per point or 58x points per dollar spent).
However, the very same headphones can be had for under $300 elsewhere so there is a cost to earning those bonus points.

If we have bought gift cards from the marketplace in the past will we still be considered a first time marketplace visitor and eligible for the points?
I suspect any previous purchase will make you ineligible.
