20x Everyday Rewards points on Apple gift cards at Woolworths

Earn 20x Everyday Rewards points per dollar spent on all denominations of Apple gift cards in-store at Woolworths. Apple gift cards can be used to buy devices (e.g. iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch etc), apps, subscriptions, media and more.

This could very well be the last Apple gift card offer at Woolworths until November as for the past three years they have always stopped running them around the time the new iPhones are announced.

It’s possible they may surprise us with another promotion after this one but if you are sure that you’ll be buying the new iPhone 17 or making another kind of Apple purchase over the next couple of months then you should take advantage of this one while you can.

Here are the details:

  • Runs from Wed 13 Aug to Tue 19 Aug 2025
  • Only available in-store at Woolworths
  • Limit of ten fixed value gift cards per day
  • Limit of ten variable load gift cards per day
  • This offer is open to everyone and does not require activation

How it works

Buy any Apple gift cards in-store at Woolworths between 13 Aug and 19 Aug 2025 and scan your Everyday Rewards card when paying to earn 20x points per dollar spent, instantly credited to your account as soon as the transaction is complete.

There’s a purchase limit of ten fixed value and ten variable load Apple gift cards per day so you should be able to buy as much as $7,000 worth (ten $200 cards and ten $20-500 cards each loaded with $500) in a single day – provided staff allow you to, of course.

They don’t usually advertise these gift card offers in the Everyday Rewards app. In most cases they only feature them in the Woolworths catalogue and on posters displayed in-store. All members are eligible to participate and no activation or “boosting” is necessary.

If you’re planning a particularly large Apple purchase, rest assured as Apple will let you pay online using your account balance (loaded with up to $4,999 of gift cards) plus another eight unredeemed gift cards on top. The Apple gift card guide on GCDB has more information about how they can be used.

As always, check what other retailers such as Amazon, JB Hi-Fi and Officeworks are charging for your device as you can get Apple to price match them (up to a maximum of 10% off) if you call 133-622 and you can pay with your Apple gift cards or account balance.

Even though the Apple page on Qantas Shopping specifically excludes purchases with gift cards, it might still be worth clicking through here before completing your purchase on the Apple website as I was able to earn these extra points despite paying with my account balance that was loaded entirely with Apple gift cards.

Apple gift card tampering

Apple gift cards are sometimes targeted by scammers who remove or obscure the redemption codes so that you’re unable to redeem them. For that reason, make sure you open up your Apple gift cards before you pay for them to ensure that they haven’t been tampered with.

Carefully inspect the redemption codes on your gift cards to see if any characters have been scratched off or modified (this could be as subtle as changing an L to look like an I, a Z to look like 7 and so on). More info here.

  1. Can I purchase Mastercard gift card from Cole’s with their current fly guys promotion and then use them to buy apple gift card from woolies?

    1. It’s worked previously so I would expect so but there’s always a chance they might suddenly decide to add new restrictions so be prepared to spend the Mastercard gift cards on something else.

      1. FYI – all my Coles Mastercards declined today when trying to purchase groceries at Woolworths. I walked over to Coles afterwards and make a purchase and it worked. Never had this happened before.

      2. Thanks for the update. It seems the Coles Mastercards cards aren’t worth the hassle, especially with the $25 activation fee, only to then be declined at major stores.

  3. I just bought the cards and got points too. Thank you so much for sharing this tip. I feel super rich with all these Qantas points. Even the assistants at Woolies were impressed with this deal. He might end up buying all the cards. The custom ones were already sold out, so I had to buy ten of the $200 ones.
