Earn up to 120,000 Everyday Rewards points when you take out an eligible hospital and extras policy with Bupa using the promo code REWARDS120:
- 60,000 points for singles
- 120,000 points for families and couples
What makes this offer more interesting than most other health insurance bonuses is that you receive the same amount of points regardless of your level of cover. This means you can qualify with only a basic hospital and extras policy.
60,000 Everyday Rewards points can be converted to 30,000 Qantas points or $300 in Everyday Rewards Dollars (redeemable at Woolworths, BWS, Big W etc).
You’ll be eligible for the bonus points after you have maintained the same level of cover for 60 continuous days (excluding any free cover periods). They’ll then be credited within 30 days.
You have to pay by direct debit and provide your Everyday Rewards number within 30 days of joining. The surname on your Everyday Rewards account must be the same as yours or another member on your policy.
Hospital only, extras only, ambulance only, short stay visitors products, overseas visitors products and overseas student health products are all excluded.
You also cannot have held a domestic Bupa health insurance policy in the 60 days prior to your join date.
If health insurance is important to you then make sure you do your research before signing up. Bonus points are nice but you may find yourself spending more than you save if you end up with worse coverage.

Will the points still be credited if the policy is cancelled after 60 days? Or should I wait for the points to be credited before cancelling the policy?
When I took up a similar Bupa offer back in 2023 I left just after 60 days and the points still arrived a few weeks later even though I had already left. To be safe I messaged Bupa before leaving to have them confirm in writing that I would still receive the points.
Hi, so if I take the cheapest hospital and extras cover then I will receive the 120,000 rewards points as a couple? Thanks!
That’s right. The Bupa website should show the points when you’re looking at the different levels of cover.
is it applicable for returning customers?
Yes, as long as you have not held a domestic Bupa health insurance policy in the 60 days prior to your join date.
I’m between offers will I still be eligible if I initiate the switch for ex on 5th Jul and put effective start date of 21st Jul?
I’d recommend getting Bupa to confirm it for your over live chat so you have proof.
For those that already have existing cover with someone else, you would have to not enter your income as to not trigger the PHI govt rebate. So that you’re not claiming twice.
Increases the cost, but to be honest, you would still be ahead by paying ~0.54 cents per point. Much cheaper than buying points through the Wine store or topping up points.
Found that this cannot be done. Under Rule C.2.1 from BUPA’s rules: you may be covered under us if you are not already covered with another insurer
