Earn 2,000 bonus Flybuys points plus the usual 1x point per dollar spent on $100 TCN Him, TCN Restaurant, TCN Pub & Bar, TCN Good Food and Google Play gift cards at Coles.

TCN Him gift cards can be used at dozens of major brands including The Good Guys, JB Hi-Fi and Uber, whilst TCN Restaurant gift cards work at almost any restaurant or eating place.

Here are the details:

  • Runs from Wed 27 Aug to Tue 2 Sep 2025
  • Only available in-store at Coles
  • $100 denominations only
  • Limit of five gift cards per Flybuys account
  • This offer is open to everyone and does not require activation
  • Points are usually credited in 1-3 days

How it works

Purchase these $100 gift cards in-store at Coles between 27 Aug and 2 Sep 2025 and scan your Flybuys card at the checkout to earn 2,000 bonus points plus the usual 1x point per dollar spent.

Points at Coles don’t instantly credit like they do at Woolworths but they should appear in your account within 1-3 days. Check each evening at around 5-6pm as that’s when Flybuys points usually arrive.

You can earn the 2,000 bonus points up to five times during this promotion. That’s five times in total, not five per day. Don’t accidentally buy other denominations of these gift cards as only the $100 ones qualify for the bonus points.

This offer includes three gift cards that work at restaurants but the TCN Restaurant is the best of the bunch as it also supports fast food restaurants (not officially but it’s long been known to work with this specific card).

If you’re having trouble swapping or converting your TCN gift cards, try registering them first as that usually fixes it.

Tampering scams

If you’re buying the TCN gift cards, make sure you check them for signs of tampering before you pay. Check that the nineteen digit card number hasn’t been damaged and that the PIN hasn’t been revealed or removed. See this article for more information about TCN gift card scams.

  1. Restaurant, pub and bar, and goodfood seem really similar. Is there one you would recommend over the others for any particular reason?

    1. As mentioned in the article:

  2. I am looking to buy a new iPad and do you think its worth waiting for the x20 Apple Promotion or go with this one and get it from like JBHI-Fi using TCN?

    Reply

    1. Both Big W and Qantas Marketplace have offers on Apple gift cards right now. If you’re only interested in Flybuys points then it could be months before we see another Apple offer at Coles.

Which iPad are you planning to buy? Depending on the model you might actually be better off buying it from JB Hi-Fi because they’re often discounted by more than 10% and Apple won’t price match any more than that. For example, the standard iPad A16 128gb will actually be $70 off at Big W from Thursday which I expect JB Hi-Fi would readily match.

  3. Hi, when you mentioned the following “You can earn the 2,000 bonus points up to five times during this promotion. That’s five times in total, not five per day”, do you mean that say if I want to buy 5 TCN Restaurant cards, I need to split the payment into 5 separate transactions and I can’t buy all 5 at once on the same day?

    Reply

    1. You can buy the five gift cards in however many transaction you like – it makes no difference. That line is just there to remind people that the five card limit doesn’t reset each day like it does with some other promotions.

      Reply

    1. The limit is five gift cards per Flybuys account. If your particular store would only let you buy four in one transaction then you can simply purchase the fifth in a separate transaction. You will still earn 10,000 bonus points.

  4. i bought the gift card yesterday and i could only see 500 points credited to my account , is that normal for the 2000points x5 to be credited to my account not the same day as the 500 points ?

    Reply

    1. Yes, delays are normal. The points will most likely arrive Friday evening but it can sometimes take a few days more.

  5. I bought 5 TCN Him cards on the 28th, and I try to transfer them to Ubereats on the 29th to find errors. Phone up TCN and they have all been redeemed for JB Hifi. Upon my own research, it is clear that this is a known scam targeting TCN gift cards, where the card or its PIN is tampered with and the packaging is often resealed to hide the theft. Once the card is activated it is immediately wiped of its funds. I now have to file a police report, get a stat dec and try and chase down my $500. From now on, I will be asking the manager for cards that are not on display!

    1. Sorry to hear. This is a relatively new scam. I’ve written more about it here and added a warning to this offer.

Out of curiosity, do your cards display any signs of tampering (e.g. some of the card number’s nineteen digits scratched off)? If they do then I’d recommend emailing photos and your receipt to giftcard@customerservice.woolworths.com.au as they’re usually much more helpful than the gift card companies when dealing with tampering incidents.

      Reply

      1. They all looked normal, no signs of tampering at all All numbers were there. This was TCN’s response…

        1. Send us 1 form of valid Australian ID (Passport, Drivers License, Proof of Age card etc) with a dated piece of paper
        2. A copy of the receipt (if purchased from Coles) or a copy of the activation slip (if purchased from Woolworths) & a photo of the back of the card. Please send both as clear images ( you have already sent us this), and also with a dated and signed piece of paper next to it
        3. A copy of a statutory declaration signed by a Justice of the Peace – this should outline what has happened exactly
        4. File an online Police report and provide us with a copy.

      2. Good News, after days of correspondence with TCN Zen Desk, I put on my Sherlock Holmes hat and found the email address of the GM. I was refunded my $500 within 2 minutes (and got my free points! 😉)

  6. I TRIED TO SWAP TO DIGITAL CARD FOR RESTAURENT BUT THE ‘GO DIGITAL’ IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE. CAN YOU DOUBLE CHECK

    Reply

    1. TCN are currently fixing a vulnerability with their balance check system which likely explains why the swap function isn’t working at the moment.
