How it works
Buy any of these gift cards at Coles between 28 Aug and 3 Sep 2024 and scan your Flybuys card at the checkout to earn 2,000 bonus Flybuys points. You can earn the bonus points up to five times during the promotion (not five times per day).
When you buy the gift cards you won’t receive any indication that you’ve qualified for the points but they should be credited to your Flybuys account at around 5pm a day or two after your purchase.
Only the $100 denominations of these gift cards are included so make sure those are the only ones you buy. In addition to the 2,000 bonus points, you’ll also receive 1x Flybuys point per dollar spent so a $100 card will actually earn you 2,100 points.

TCN Restaurant gift cards can be used at Eating Places and Restaurants (5812) or Drinking Places (5813). For whatever reason, this digital version of the TCN Restaurant card works at Fast Food Restaurants (5814) despite not officially supporting it.
TCN Pub & Bar gift cards can be used at Eating Places and Restaurants (5812), Drinking Places (5813) and Country Clubs (7997). Convert your physical Restaurant card into a digital one here so that you can add it your mobile wallet (e.g. Apple Pay).

I have no reason to believe that it has stopped working.
I have to be missing something, why would that work? I just tried it and it got declined as expected, MCC reported as 5816 (Digital Goods: Games)
Uber Eats gift cards (not regular Uber gift cards) are sold under the MCC 5814: Fast Food Restaurants on ShopBack. However, I believe they’ve finally stopped allowing you to use these TCN gift cards on there.
Ah right, I took the “Uber GC” part a bit too literally and tried to buy the general Uber ones – Uber Eats are sold out so I can’t test. Thanks for the info.

Do you mean Restaurant Choice? If so, those cards are from a different company to the TCN Restaurant cards in this offer. They both work in a similar way, though.
If you buy a physical restaurant card, but then used it via your digital wallet – will it work at fast food restaurants? Or do you need to purchase a digital restaurant card for it to work this way?
Officially, TCN are very clear that the Restaurant gift card does not support the merchant category code for fast food restaurants (5814). However, when you either buy a digital TCN Restaurant card or convert your physical one into a digital one here it can actually be used to buy fast food. There’s always a chance that this could change at any moment but as far as I can tell it still works.

Hello, can I use this cards on Aldi?
None of these gift cards will work at ALDI. The TCN Him only works at the specific retailers listed whilst the restaurant themed gift cards can only be used at eating and drinking places.
Can I buy 5 in one tx to get 10000 bonus, or does it need to be 5 separate transactions?
You can buy them individually or all in the one transaction; it doesn’t matter.
The website for Good Food says they can o lt be used at venues listed on their website. Is that not technically correct? 😉

That said, there’s no point buying the Good Food gift card given that the TCN Restaurant and Pub & Bar cards are also included in this promotion. Those cards can actually be added to your mobile wallet which makes them much more convenient to use.
