Earn 750 free Velocity points when create an e-Rewards account and complete your first survey within 90 days of signing up. The terms state that the points will be credited to your Velocity Frequent Flyer account within 4-6 weeks but for us it only took around a week or so.
You can also earn ongoing Velocity points by completing more surveys; 2,000 Opinion Points can be converted to 500 Velocity points.

Velocity members who join e-Rewards® and link their Velocity account to their e-Rewards® member account will receive 750 bonus Velocity Points after completing their first survey. How long does the points take to come
It only took a week or so for me but that was a couple of years ago. The terms state that you should “allow 4 to 6 weeks”.
Do you have to do any identity verification or do the points just get added to your account
It’s been a while but I don’t recall any identity verification when I did it.
