Save 25% on the number of Qantas points needed for domestic economy Qantas Classic Reward flights when you book by 1 Feb 2026 for travel between 9 Feb 2026 and 13 Jan 2027.
For example, a Sydney to Melbourne Classic Reward on Qantas previously required 9,200 points (plus $57 in taxes). With this 25% discount, it’s now just 6,900 points.
Domestic economy reward flights generally aren’t great value but with the 25% off they’re a much more compelling option than they normally are.
This is especially true if you’re flying to a regional or remote area of Australia where regular airfares are obscenely overpriced.
A return flight to Lord Howe Island costs around $1,500 but if you booked reward flights during this offer you would only pay 13,800 points and $180 – that works out to be an incredible 10 cents per point.
Discounts on Classic Reward flights are rare so if you’ve got some points saved up and know you’ll be travelling domestically within the next year then you should consider taking advantage of this offer.

The 25% discount will be automatically applied to the Qantas Points required for Eligible Classic Flight Rewards booked between 11:00am (AEDT) 27 January and 11:59pm (AEDT) 1 February 2026 for travel between 9 February 2026 – 13 January 2027. To receive the 25% discount, all flights in your Trip must be eligible Classic Flight Rewards. If you make any changes to the date and time of your Classic Flight Rewards booking, in order to be eligible to retain the 25% discount, any flight in your updated booking must be within the specified travel dates of this promotion. Eligible Classic Flight Rewards are Qantas operated Economy Classic Flight Rewards with a ‘QF’ flight number within Australia, excluding those servicing external Australian territories such as Norfolk Island, Christmas Island, and Cocos (Keeling) Island.
If a Trip includes a Transfer (domestic – same day) or a Transfer (international – a flight within 24 hours) on other partner airlines, that Trip is not eligible for this offer. If your Trip includes multiple flight segments, the 25% discount will only be applied when your whole Trip is in Economy. If your Trip includes multiple cabins, e.g. Brisbane to Sydney in Economy and Sydney to Melbourne in Business, the discount will not apply to your booking. The discount applies to the Qantas Points amount required only and does not apply to the taxes, fees and carrier charges payable to Qantas (excluding any amounts payable to third parties at the airport) which are payable in addition to the Qantas Points required. Taxes, fees and carrier charges are per adult in AUD unless otherwise stated rounded up to the nearest dollar and, based on payment at qantas.com by POLi. Does the discount show only when you book at check out or in the advertised points for the flight?
It’s the advertised amount when you’re searching for flights.
Terms and conditions say all routes QF across Australia (except Christmas Island etc.). I am searching Sydney to Launceston and Hobart, but can’t find any discounted?
It’s working. I just tried a random date (1 Jun 2026) for SYD-HOB and it’s showing as 10,400 points instead of the usual 13,800.
