How it works
Purchase any of these gift cards in-store at Woolworths between 28 Jan and 3 Feb 2026 and you’ll collect an instant 20x points per dollar spent provided you scan your Everyday Rewards card at the checkout.
Note that the $20-500 variable load denomination of the TCN Teen gift card has a lower purchase limit of just two per day. For the rest of the gift cards in this offer the limit is a more generous ten per day.
If you’re buying the TCN Teen gift card to for a purchase at JB Hi-Fi, you can use an unlimited number of gift cards both in-store and online but for online you’ll first need to swap your physical gift cards for some of JB Hi-Fi’s own digital gift cards via the TCN website.
If you’re interested in buying the TCN Good Food and Pub & Bar gift cards, check the merchant database on GCDB for a list of businesses where they’ve been known to work.
This promotion will be advertised in the Woolworths catalogue for 28 Jan 2026 and possibly also on posters at the in-store gift card display. You don’t need to see it in your app or do anything to be eligible as it’s automatically open to all Everyday Rewards members.
TCN gift cards have become a more popular target for scammers in the past year. Whilst they have corrected the vulnerability on their website and rolled out more tamper-resistant packaging, you should still check each card for signs of tampering before paying.
Additionally, you should try to spend each gift card sooner rather than later and avoid giving them as presents. You are entitled to a refund if you buy a tampered gift card or one that’s been fraudulently used but it can be a tedious process.

Can I use wish gift cards to buy these and double dip?
You can’t use WISH or Woolworths gift cards to purchase any other gift cards.
Hi, how about using the Mastercard gift card that was on promotion at Coles the other week? Is that also considered a gift card and therefore cannot be used to purchase other gift cards? Or is it treated like it is a debit Mastercard?

Hi, first time user of the TNC Good food card here. Can you use this one at the same places listed for the TNC Restaurant Gift card? When I search places on the good food website it doesn’t list any for my area but the restaurant gift card has heaps of options in my area.
When it comes to restaurant gift cards, there are basically three tiers:
Tier 1: Restaurant Choice, Cafe Choice and TCN Restaurant: can be used at almost any restaurant including fast food.
Tier 2: TCN Good Food and TCN Pub & Bar: can be used at most restaurants but not anything categorised as fast food (fast food can also mean cafes, pizza places etc so it’s just not McDonald’s and that sort of thing).
Tier 3: Best Restaurants, Gift To Dine etc: only redeemable at specific restaurants that have chosen to partner with the gift card company.
Just to double check my understanding, you can swap the TCN Teen gift cards online for a JB Hi Fi digital gift card?
I thought this is the gift card that stopped the JB digital cards last year or have I got that mixed up?
TCN briefly removed and then re-instated online swaps for JB Hi-Fi gift cards. It’s just Ultimate who removed the option and haven’t brought it back.
How do you pay with the pub and bar card – do you tell the restaurant it’s a gift card or just use it like a credit card ?
This guide explains it in more detail but you basically just treat them like you would a credit or debit card. If you ask staff if they accept it they’ll probably say no even though it may actually work just fine.
I’d recommend converting it into a digital gift card so that you can pay with a mobile wallet (e.g. Apple Pay). It’s more convenient and increases the likelihood of your payment being accepted.
Having major issues with the TCN app while trying to convert these gift cards to apple wallet. Any tips?

worked it out eventually. needed to click the link you provided on desktop. when i clicked it on mobile, counterintuitively, the TCN site/app seems to glitch.

No. Just the daily gift card purchase limits you see listed.
When you add the tcn good food card onto your wallet, does it say the amount remaining or do you need to check somewhere else? Thank you for all of your help 🙂
The TCN app tracks the balance for you so you can just check that.
How bizarre, the TCN website keeps giving me an error when I try to convert the card to JB digital cards. “Check card details and try again”. I simply click the “I am not a robot” button again and select “Continue” and it works without me having to reenter the card details. Not sure what is going on but first time I had a mild panic attack thinking it was a compromised card.
They are saying can’t use them at jb hifi anymore
Strange. They’ve only removed JB Hi-Fi from the Teen gift card and not others in their range so it could just be a temporary measure. They’ve done similar things before where they briefly removed and then re-added a particular retailer.
I called as it happened as I was processing them! They said it’s a temporary problem and should be fixed in 48 hours. I was advised they would work in store.
Hopefully that is indeed the case but if so it’s odd that the website for the Teen gift card has had JB Hi-Fi removed completely. In the past when they removed the online exchange option they still showed support for in-store JB Hi-Fi purchases.
Update: TCN have confirmed in writing that the Teen gift card still works in-store at JB Hi-Fi. The option to swap them for digital JB Hi-Fi gift cards should return in 24-72 hours.
Hi the merchant list mentions Uber Eats for Pub and Bar card. Do you know how this works in practice?
I have personally tested it with TCN Restaurant and Good Food gift cards. In both cases the MCC reported was 5812 which is one that’s also supported by the Pub & Bar card.
I wouldn’t recommend any of these gift cards if you’re primarily interested in using them with Uber Eats because promotions on Uber’s own gift cards are incredibly common and they’re a lot easier to use since you don’t have to worry about those small remaining balances.

Was the exploit/scam for TCN closed or still ongoing?
I bought two $100 Good Food cards on 3 February. I paid using my Qantas Pay card. However I didn’t receive any points. I keep checking, and although they are normally instant, the Rewards app is still saying 0 points! Does the Qantas Pay card exclude collection of points?
How you pay makes no difference. Message Everyday Rewards in the app and they should be able to manually credit them.
