Earn 40,000 bonus Velocity points when you spend $1,000 or more on Virgin Australia Holidays for travel between 12 Oct 2026 and 26 Jun 2027.

In addition to the 40,000 bonus points, you’ll also collect the usual 3x Velocity points per dollar spent. Higher status Velocity members can earn an additional 2.25-4.5x points per dollar.

Note that this offer excludes holiday bookings that have been either partially or entirely paid for using points. Only cash bookings will count.

40,000 points is quite a generous bonus considering the minimum spend is only $1,000. However, you should always compare prices as sometimes the same holiday can be had for less elsewhere.

Terms and conditions

During the promotional period of 12:01 am AEST 12 October 2026 until 11:59 pm AEST 18 October 2026 (“Offer Period”), unless extended or withdrawn earlier, Velocity members can earn 40,000 bonus Velocity Points for each eligible Virgin Australia Holidays booking made with Hopper at https://www.virginaustralia.com/au-en/holidays for travel between 12 October 2026 and 26 June 2027 (“Offer”), with a minimum spend of $1,000 per booking (based on the final pricing displayed in the price breakdown prior to booking) and paid for in cash (not Velocity Points). This offer is not valid for full redemption bookings or ‘Points+Pay’ bookings.

Only available where minimum spend requirements can be met based on the room type, property, flights and travel dates configuration.

Offer can only be redeemed on new eligible bookings.

40,000 bonus Velocity Points earn is in addition to the standard earn rate of 3 Points per $1 of eligible spend on Holidays bookings. Silver, Gold, Platinum and Platinum Plus members will continue to earn their tier bonus Velocity Points separately. Silver members earn an extra 1.5 bonus Points per $1 spent on eligible Holiday bookings, Gold members earn an extra 2.25 bonus Points per $1 spent on eligible Holiday bookings, Platinum members earn an extra 3 bonus Points per $1 spent on eligible Holiday bookings and Platinum Plus members earn an extra 4.5 bonus Points per $1 spent on eligible Holiday bookings.

Virgin Australia Holiday packages booked via https://www.virginaustralia.com/au-en/holidays are provided by Hopper and all bookings made through this platform are subject to the https://www.virginaustralia.com/au-en/terms/holidays-terms-and-conditions.

Velocity Points are not earned on full redemption Holiday bookings. For “Points + Pay” bookings, Velocity Points will be earned on any “+ Pay” component. Points will not be awarded for additional or incidental costs (such as in-room charges, early check-in, late checkout and upgrades), cancelled bookings or bookings where stay is not completed. Velocity members must submit their valid Velocity membership number at the time of booking to be eligible to earn Velocity Points. Only the Velocity member who identifies themselves as the Primary Guest on the Holiday booking is eligible to earn Velocity Points. Points are awarded after check-out and are credited to your account within 1 week after the completion of the return flight included within the eligible Holiday booking.
