Earn 20x Everyday Rewards points per dollar spent on all denominations of Apple gift cards at Woolworths. This promotion is valid from Wed 29 Nov to Tue 5 Dec 2023 and is only available in-store at Woolworths and Woolworths Metro locations.
The fixed value and variable load gift cards have separate purchase limits:
- For cards with a fixed value (eg. $50, $100, $200 etc), the limit is ten cards per day which can be purchased across multiple transactions.
- For variable load cards where you choose the amount on the gift card, the limit is still ten cards per day but they must be purchased in a single transaction each day.
If you’re trying to add two Apple gift cards each loaded with $500 but the checkout won’t let you, try loading one of the cards with $499 or $499.99 as there is sometimes a $1,000 limit. Don’t make multiple transactions on the same day with the variable load cards because you’ll only earn 20x points on the first one.
Note that a number of people have reported receiving tampered Apple gift cards from Coles and Woolworths that cannot be redeemed. Tampered cards are often hard to open and the cards inside the packet sometimes have the wrong dollar amount on them. The serial number on the outside of the gift card packet also won’t match the one on the inside. Check your gift cards before leaving the store and if you notice that some have been tampered with, insist that you are refunded.

“If you’re trying to add two Apple gift cards each loaded with $500 but the checkout won’t let you, try loading one of the cards with $499 or $499.99 as there is sometimes a $1,000 limit.” but there is no limit specifically saying on about 10 cards per day but on a single transaction, so effectively you could buy 5 x $500 of those cards in one single transaction and that would mean it’s more than $1000 ($2500).. so what is correct?
The limit I’m referring to there is the gift card transaction limit that some Woolworths stores have set on their checkouts. This is a separate thing to the promotion limits which govern how many cards you can buy if you want to earn 20x points.
All stores are different but it’s common for many to not permit you to buy $1,000 or more worth of gift cards in one transaction, hence the suggestion to buy $999 or $999.99 instead as a sort of workaround.
You can also sometimes obtain approval from a manager or supervisor to exceed this limit which is how some people are able to buy as much as $5,000 worth of gift cards in a single transaction.
The recent promotion which ends 16 Jan 2024 at Woolworths states maximum:
“In addition to the above terms and conditions, by participating in the Everyday Rewards program you agree to the Everyday Rewards Terms and Conditions. You will not collect points if collecting those points would cause you to exceed 4,000 Everyday Rewards dollars as set out in those Terms and Conditions.”
So if you buying $2200 worth Apple gift cards you will get 44000 points which result in $220 reward dollars also you don’t get base points only the 20x points is thus the same as previous promotions?
“Exclusions: You will not collect any base points on the amount you spend on Qualifying Gift Cards, but only the relevant number of bonus points for which you qualify under this offer.”
That’s $4,000 Everyday Rewards Dollars, not points. You would have to earn 800,000 Everyday Rewards points to reach that limit.
All Woolworths promotions are like this. Unlike Coles, Woolworths does not allow you to earn standard points on any gift cards.
