How it works
To earn the 2,000 bonus points, purchase any of these $100 gift cards in-store at Coles between 26 Aug and 1 Sep 2026 and scan your Flybuys card at the checkout.
You can earn the bonus up to five times in total per Flybuys account. The points usually credit the following day at around 5-6pm but sometimes you may have to wait another day or two.
Check GCDB’s Merchant Database for a list of places where the TCN Restaurant, Pub & Bar and Good Food gift cards have been tested and found to work. You can also contribute your own experiences to the list here.
The Good Food gift card isn’t recommended because it doesn’t support the merchant category code for fast food (5814) whereas the TCN Restaurant gift card does (unofficially, at least). Fast food can include a lot of restaurants you wouldn’t typically think of such as cafes or pizzerias.
It’s not officially supported but the TCN Pub & Bar gift card has been known to work at bottle shops such as Dan Murphy’s and BWS but since 2025 it’s been blocked at Liquorland.
If you’re having trouble swapping or converting your TCN gift card, registering it usually solves the issue.

Do you know if these cards can be used to pay for hotel online in another currency?
TCN Restaurant and Good Food gift cards do support the merchant category code (MCC) for hotels but in most cases you can’t use them to book hotels online, only in-person.
One reason is because most online booking sites use the MCC for travel agencies (4722) rather than hotels (7011). The other reason is that you can rarely ever split card payments online so your booking total would have to be less than or equal to $100.00 after any conversion fees.

Thanks. I was hoping to get a larger pamper from Qantas marketplace and pay directly to the hotel website but don’t want to take the risk if it doesn’t go through.
