How it works
To earn the bonus points, buy any of these TCN gift cards in-store at Coles between 4 Mar and 10 Mar 2026 and scan your Flybuys card at the checkout.
You won’t be told at the time of purchase if you’ve successfully qualified for the points but they should credit to your Flybuys account within 1-3 days. Sometimes the bonus points lag behind the regular points by a day or two.
Note that both the $50 and $100 denominations of these gift cards earn the same 1,000 points bonus so you should only buy the $50 cards. Once you factor in the additional 1x point per dollar, the $50 denominations earn 21x points spent whilst the $100 cards only earn 11x points.
There is a purchase limit of five gift cards per Flybuys account. That’s five for the duration of the offer, not five per day like with some other promotions.
TCN Restaurant gift cards can be spent at almost any restaurant. Officially, it excludes fast food but it’s been the case for several years that this limitation isn’t actually enforced.

Officially, TCN Restaurant gift cards cannot be used at ‘5814: Fast Food Restaurants’ but for years this limitation has not been enforced. You should always convert physical TCN Restaurant gift cards into digital ones here so that you can add them your mobile wallet (e.g. Apple Pay) as they’re more likely to be accepted that way.

What’s the easiest way to finish the balance/or bring down to a very small amount on the restaurant cards? I’ve got a handful that have under $1 on them and haven’t been able to find places that are willing to do spilt transactions.
It would be so good if the Maccas/any other fast food with a self order screen could split the payment like you can at supermarkets.
You can check the Merchant Database as it includes information about split payments for some restaurants. In my experience most major chains will allow it but there are some exceptions.
These gift cards also work on Uber Eats and DoorDash so another trick is to buy an Uber/DoorDash gift card for the exact difference between what’s left on your Restaurant gift card and the total price.
