Save up to 30% on the points price of Qantas domestic economy Classic Reward flights:

Discounts on Classic Reward flights are quite rare and we haven’t seen anything as high as 30% for an Australia-wide promotion since 2023.
Whilst domestic economy flights usually aren’t the best value redemption they are still sometimes worthwhile, especially if you’re travelling to a remote or regional area where cash airfares are very expensive.
For example, a return flight to Lord Howe Island normally costs at least $1,300 but if you managed to get a return Classic Reward for 30% off you would pay only 12,800 points and $187 in taxes, fees and carrier charges.
Note that this offer excludes Jetstar and flights to external Australian territories such as Norfolk Island, Christmas Island and the Cocos (Keeling) Islands. Taxes, fees and carrier charges are not discounted.
Terms and conditions
Classic Flight Rewards are subject to capacity controls, availability is limited, and some flights may not have any Classic Flight Rewards available. Taxes, fees and carrier charges are payable to Qantas (excluding any amounts payable to third parties at the airport) by an Accepted Payment Card in addition to the points required on Classic Flight Reward flights. Discounts will be applied automatically at checkout when booking eligible Classic Flight Rewards for travel during the following periods: (A) 20% off points for travel between 1 November 2026 to 3 January 2027 and 1 March to 30 April 2027; and (B) 30% off points for travel between 4 January to 28 February 2027 and 1 May to 27 September 2027. Bookings must be made between 11am (AEDT) 9 October and 11.59pm (AEDT) 16 October 2026 via the Qantas website or Qantas Contact Centres (fees may apply). All flights in your Trip must be eligible Classic Flight Rewards. The discount applies to the Qantas Points amount required only and does not apply to the taxes, fees and carrier charges payable to Qantas (excluding any amounts payable to third parties at the airport) which are payable in addition to the Qantas Points required. If you make any changes to the date and time of your Classic Flight Reward booking, in order to be eligible for a discount, any flight in your updated booking must be within the specified travel dates of this promotion. The eligible discount received will depend on the new travel date. Eligible Classic Flight Rewards are Qantas operated Economy Classic Flight Rewards with a ‘QF’ flight number within Australia, excluding those servicing external Australian territories such as Norfolk Island, Christmas Island, and Cocos (Keeling) Island.
If a Trip includes a Transfer (domestic – same day) or a Transfer (international – a flight within 24 hours) on Qantas or other partner airlines, that Trip is not eligible for this offer. If your Trip includes multiple flight segments, the discount will only be applied when your whole eligible Trip is in Economy. If your Trip includes multiple cabins, e.g. Brisbane to Sydney in Economy and Sydney to Melbourne in Business, the discount will not apply to your booking.
