3x Qantas points on Airbnb and Bunnings gift cards on Qantas Marketplace

Earn 3x Qantas points per dollar spent on Airbnb and Bunnings Warehouse digital gift cards when you purchase them on Qantas Marketplace.

This used to be the standard earn rate on these gift cards until they were slashed back in April. It’s unclear if this return to 3x points is temporary or permanent.

Unfortunately, other popular gift cards on Qantas Marketplace such as Woolworths, Everyday WISH and Amazon still only earn 1x point per dollar spent.

You can earn an extra 1.25x Qantas points per dollar spent by purchasing the gift cards with a Qantas Pay prepaid card. There are also certain credit cards that award even more points on Qantas Marketplace purchases.

Note that the Bunnings gift cards are redeemable in-store only. However, there are reports online that you can exchange them in-store for Bunnings gift cards that also work online.

Before booking an Airbnb, remember to click through the Airbnb page on the Qantas Hotels website to earn an additional 1x point per dollar spent (plus 500 bonus points for your first booking).

As always with Qantas Marketplace, be careful not to pay with points as it’s terrible value. Move the slider on the payment page all the way over so you’re only using cash for your purchase.
