Here’s how you do it:
- Go to the Switch Assistant page on the Qantas Insurance website
- Answer a few short questions about your insurance needs
- Agree to receive a phone call within a couple of days
- Listen to the five minute sales pitch and tell them you will think about it
- 1,000 points should hit your account within 48 hours of the call
If the points don’t credit within 48 hours, open a live chat on the Qantas Insurance website and tell them that you haven’t received the points. They should be able to credit them on the spot.

Qantas Frequent Flyer (QFF) members who complete the Qantas Health Insurance Switching Assistant online and answer the follow-up call from a Qantas Insurance Customer Service member, will receive 1,000 Qantas Points. QFF members can receive the offer one time only. Qantas Points will be awarded within 48 hours of the successful phone call. Qantas reserves the right to withdraw the offer at any time.

I tried this and Qantas noted it is a closed offer.
They’re still advertising the offer on their website so I’d press them for the points if you met all the requirements.
