The TCN Restaurant gift card is another great choice as it can be used at almost any restaurant or eating place (officially, this excludes fast food but for whatever reason this limitation does not appear to be enforced).

How it works
Buy any of these gift cards in-store at Woolworths between 1 Oct and 7 Oct 2025 and you’ll receive 20x points per dollar spent provided you have scanned your Everyday Rewards card at the checkout. The points should immediately appear in your account.
Note that the purchase limits vary depending on which gift cards you buy. Most have a limit of ten per day but for the variable load $20-500 TCN Teen, $100 TCN Gift and $50 and $100 TCN Restaurant gift cards the limit is just two per day.
Interestingly, with previous promotions at Woolworths the purchase limits have been applied to each individual card rather than as an overall limit.
If that hasn’t changed then you should theoretically be able to buy two $20-500 TCN Teen, two $100 TCN Gift, ten $50 TCN Teen, ten $50 TCN Gift etc gift cards all on the same day.
That’s a total of $2,200 worth of JB Hi-Fi-compatible gift cards per day. However, if you’re going to attempt this, only proceed with the additional transactions if the checkout shows you as having earned the points (it says so on the screen after you press Pay Now but before you actually pay.
The TCN Gift and Teen gift cards can both be used at JB Hi-Fi and there’s no limit to the number of gift cards you can redeem in-store. TCN just removed the option to swap them for digital JB Hi-Fi gift cards so you can’t spend them online, only in-store.
Both the TCN Restaurant and Pub & Bar gift cards can be used at restaurants and eating places but the Restaurant card is the better choice for diners as it also unofficially supports fast food restaurants whereas the Pub & Bar card definitely does not.
As always, these weekly gift card promotions are generally only advertised in the Woolworths catalogue and on posters in stores. You likely won’t see it in your Everyday Rewards app but that’s normal as all members are automatically eligible to participate.
If you’re trying to swap your physical TCN gift card and it gives you an error, register each card first and then try again.

DoorDash gift cards can be used to pay for food delivery orders. It’s worth mentioning that DoorDash gift cards are always 20% off for Costco members which is a much better deal than 20x points.

Tampering scams
TCN gift cards were in the news recently because of a vulnerability on the TCN website that made them trivial to hack. Whilst TCN state that they have fixed the issue, you should still exercise some caution when buying these gift cards.
For example, turn each card over before purchasing to confirm that it contains all nineteen digits of the card number and that the PIN hasn’t been removed or revealed. Scratch the PIN before you pay to confirm all four digits are present.
Also, you might want to avoid buying these gift cards as presents – at least for the time being. If you’re just buying them for your own use (e.g. to pay for a JB Hi-Fi purchase), you can redeem the gift cards immediately and then you have nothing left to worry about.
If you get an error when trying to swap or convert your TCN gift card on the website, that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s been stolen as you usually need to register your card first before you can exchange it.
On the off chance you do buy a TCN gift card that is faulty or has been tampered with, your first port of call should be to contact Woolworths Gift Cards customer care. You may also try contacting TCN directly but it’s been our experience that they’re often slow and unhelpful.

Can I use the pub card at cafes ?
Yes if you convert to digital
The Pub & Bar gift card does not support the merchant category code 5814: Fast Food Restaurants and that’s what cafes are supposed to be fall under. Some may be categorised as 5812: Eating Places, Restaurants but you wouldn’t be able to count on that always being the case.
I’d recommend buying the TCN Restaurant gift card instead as it, or at least the digital version of it, can actually be used at 5814: Fast Food Restaurants despite what it says on their website.
How many TCN GIFT Gift cards can you get each day? Value wise?
Officially, two $100 cards and ten $50 cards ($700 each day). Potentially also an additional ten $30 cards for $1,000 per day if the purchase limit extends to individual denominations of the same gift card type. You’ll see the points come up on the screen before you pay so you’ll know for sure whether you’re going to earn them all.
If I have bought 4 TCN teen gift card in two different woolworths, will I get all 20X everyday rewards?
If they’re all the $20-500 variable load cards then no, you can’t get around the two per day limit just by visiting another store.
It’s been years since I’ve seen anyone try it but you used to be able to double the limits of a promotion by buying some of the gift cards at a regular Woolworths and the rest at a Woolworths Metro. I doubt you’d even find a Metro with any of the variable load TCN Teen gift cards in stock at this point, though.
Is there a trick to using the card at jb hifi online? The website shows it’s only for in-store use which I believe is change for how it used to be. Thanks!

Yes. People often use lots of these gift cards in-store at JB Hi-Fi. Even if you paid with 30 of them chances are it wouldn’t even be a record for the person serving you.
Can you use TCN Teen gift cards to buy an Apple gift card at JB Hi-Fi
I believe it technically still works but it’s not officially allowed so most staff would likely stop you from doing it.
There was a post recently where you said you could use Qantas pay to purchase Amazon gift cards through Qantas marketplace, in order to gain more points.
Have you actually done this successfully?
I have tried repeatedly after going through the hassle of getting a card, and it’s refusing to accept Qantas pay as a payment method.
It works, although the Qantas Marketplace checkout is notoriously unreliable. If you submit an enquiry on the Qantas Marketplace website they might be able to tell you what the issue is.
I have contacted them but it seems they’re having great difficulty understanding what I am asking 🙄

Yes, just last week I used the Qantas Pay card to buy a Spotify gift card on Qantas Marketplace.
Hi, I am planning to buy an iPhone – however I am more interested in earning VFF points. Is it better to get woolworths rewards $$ instead of automatically earning the QFF points? $3000 will equate to $300 Woolworths rewards $$.
Given what Qantas points are worth these days if you’re not redeeming them on business or first class Classic Rewards then you’re probably better off using the Everyday Rewards points to save on your groceries.
If you must have Velocity points, your best option would be to wait and see if Coles run another 20x Flybuys points offer on Celebration gift cards (redeemable at Officeworks) in early November. Next week there’s a small bonus points offer on Ultimate gift cards but you’re basically limited to a maximum spend of $250 so on its own it won’t be enough for an iPhone.

Something I forgot to mention is that the 20x points offers directly on Apple gift cards will most likely return to Coles and Woolworths around the start of November so you should hopefully have the option of buying directly from Apple as well.

It’s just JB Hi-Fi. For others you can check the TCN website to see whether they allow online swaps or in-store use only.
Can the Tcn variable load giftcards be added to apple pay? Like how ultimate giftcards work?
The merchant category cards (Restaurant and Pub & Bar) can be added to mobile wallets but with the TCN multi-retailer gift cards you’re supposed to either swipe the physical card in-store or swap it for one of the participating retailer’s own digital gift cards via the TCN website.

I accidentally purchased TCN teen instead of TCN Gift and now need to buy from the Good Guys, any ways to swap it for the good guys giftcard?

Is it possible to use the restaurant gift card on doordash?
I don’t believe so. Is there a reason why you couldn’t just buy the DoorDash gift cards?
Does anyone have experience with the restaurant gift cards? Is there a good way to avoid having small weird amounts left on the card at the end?
There’s a thread in the Gift Card Deals group where people have shared tips on how to use up the small balances. The best way is to simply ask if you can pay $X.XX on one card and the rest on another. A lot of restaurants will be happy to do this but some may stubbornly refuse.
Seems like this was the last offer in about 3 weeks. Wonder why?
