Earn 20x Everyday Rewards points per dollar spent on all denominations of Apple gift cards at Woolworths. Apple gift cards can be used to purchase products and services sold by Apple such as devices, apps and subscriptions.
Here are the details:
- Runs from Wed 14 Feb to Tue 20 Feb 2024.
- Only available in-store at Woolworths.
- Limit of ten fixed value gift cards per day which can be purchased across multiple transactions.
- Limit of ten variable load gift cards per day which must be purchased in a single transaction each day.
- This offer is open to everyone and does not require activation.
To take advantage of this offer, simply scan your Everyday Rewards card when purchasing Apple gift cards at Woolworths during the dates mentioned above and the points should appear in your Everyday Rewards account instantly.
If you’re buying multiple $20-500 variable load Apple gift cards in a single day, make sure you purchase them all in the one transaction. You can only make multiple transactions per day when buying the fixed value gift cards (e.g. $50, $100 etc).
Double dip
Don’t forget to click through the Apple page on Qantas Shopping to earn an extra 1x Qantas point per dollar spent on your Apple purchases. The Velocity eStore also offers the ability to earn 2x Velocity points per dollar spent at Apple but, unlike Qantas Shopping, its terms and conditions appear to exclude the use of gift cards so you may not receive the points.
You can only use a maximum of eight gift cards at a time at Apple but there’s an easy work around; you can redeem up to $4,999 worth of gift cards to your Apple account balance and use that at checkout plus another eight unredeemed gift cards on top.
It’s also worth mentioning that Apple will price match other retailers up to a maximum of 10% off. You can obtain a price match by calling Apple at 133-622 and you can pay using gift cards you’ve added to your Apple account balance. Note that if you price match you can’t also earn points from Qantas Shopping or the Velocity eStore.
How many points will I earn?

One last thing to keep in mind is that a small number of people have reported receiving tampered Apple gift cards from Woolworths and Coles that cannot be redeemed. Tampered cards can be hard to open and the cards inside the packaging sometimes have the wrong dollar amount on them. The serial number on the outside of the gift card packet also may not match the one on the inside. Check your gift cards before leaving the store and if you notice that some have been tampered with, insist that you are refunded.

Do you need to buy the physical card or do ecards also work?
This is an in-store only promotion so you would have to buy physical Apple gift cards.
I’ve just been in to get my gift cards and wanted to buy 2 x $20-500 variable load Apple gift cards with $500 on each and 2 x $200 fixed value ones, and the staff at Woolworths insist that the maximum they are allowed to put through in a transaction is $999.99, regardless of how many cards there are. I had the store manager there showing him the terms & conditions on their website/app which clearly doesn’t say anything about any such limit but hit a brick wall – they say they’re not legally allowed to sell over $1000 and their system won’t physically allow it. Walked out with $999.99 across 2 variable load cards but definitely not happy (and pretty sure that if there’s any legal issue, it would be with them imposing conditions that aren’t included anywhere in any of their advertising etc) – SOOO frustrated!
Stores set their own transaction limits for gift cards and some will absolutely refuse to budge on them. Unfortunately, there’s not much you can do about this.
However, it’s worth noting that the fixed and variable load card limits are separate, meaning you could still buy up to ten fixed value cards today despite having already purchased variable load cards. If you wanted to, you could go back to Woolworths today and buy two $200 cards and earn 20x points on them.
