20x Everyday Rewards points on Accor, Luxury Escapes, Restaurant Choice and Hoyts gift cards at Woolworths

Thanks to one of our readers for letting us know about this promotion early.

Earn 20x Everyday Rewards points per dollar spent on selected denominations of Accor, Luxury Escapes, Restaurant Choice, Hoyts, Gift to Dine and RedBalloon gift cards at Woolworths.

This promotion includes the popular Restaurant Choice gift card which can be used at any restaurant, eating place, drinking place or fast food outlet. For each $100 gift card that you buy, you could earn either 1,000 Qantas points or $10 to use towards your grocery shop.

Here are the details:

  • Runs from Wed 24 Jul to Tue 30 Jul 2024.
  • Only available in-store at Woolworths.
  • Daily purchase limits apply – see table below.
  • This offer is open to everyone and does not require activation.

Purchase limits

Not all denominations of these gift cards are eligible for the 20x points. Also, some of the cards are subject to a limit of five per day whilst for others the limit is ten per day. If buying more than one card per day, you can do so across multiple transactions.

How it works

Scan your Everyday Rewards card when purchasing these gift cards at Woolworths between 24 Jul and 30 Jul 2024. The points should appear on the checkout screen just before you pay and then be credited to you as soon as the transaction is complete.

Make sure you only buy the specific gift cards included as some denominations of the Accor, Luxury Escapes and Restaurant Choice cards won’t earn 20x points. If you accidentally buy the wrong gift cards, contact Everyday Rewards as they’re usually quite forgiving when it comes to first time mistakes.

This promotion is from the Woolworths catalogue which means it’s open to all Everyday Rewards members. You won’t see it in your app so you don’t need to activate or “boost” anything to participate.

If you’re planning to buy Accor or Luxury Escapes gift cards in this offer, it’s worth mentioning that Costco sells those cards for 14-15% off. Whilst it’s not an option for everyone, those who live near a Costco location may want to look into it.

Where these gift cards can be used

Accor Hotels gift cards can be used at over 350 hotels, resorts and apartments across Australia, New Zealand and Fiji. Note that you can only use Accor gift cards in-person at a hotel or over the phone.

Luxury Escapes gift cards can be used on Luxury Escapes holiday packages (excluding airfares).

Restaurant Choice gift cards can be used at “Eating Places and Restaurants (5812), Hotels, Caterers (5811), Drinking Places (Alcoholic Beverages), Bars, Taverns, Cocktail lounges, Nightclubs and Discotheques (5813) Fast Food Restaurants (5814) Motels & Resorts, Central Merchant (7011), Amusement Parks, Circuses, Carnivals, and Fortune Tellers (7996).”

Gift to Dine gift cards can be exchanged for vouchers that can be used at selected restaurants only. We don’t recommend these restaurant-specific gift cards as you could just buy the Restaurant Choice card which works at any restaurant.

Hoyts gift cards can be used at Hoyts cinemas around Australia.

RedBalloon gift cards can be used to book experiences on the RedBalloon website.

  1. Yes! We’ve been waiting for luxury escapes cards to come up 💥👊🏻 Please clarify we could buy $5000 each day, in one transaction? 10 $500 variable load cards?

    1. You can buy up to ten of the $100-500 variable load Luxury Escapes gift cards per day. It doesn’t matter if you purchase them together or separately. It’ll just come down to what that particular Woolworths store allows.

  2. Just remember the accor gift card can only be used in person and only on full flexible room rates, which can be significantly higher than accors own online or travel website rates. Can’t be used to book online. A very expensive and restrictive card purchase.

    1. Not restrictive at all from my experience. The hotel we often stay at know us now and give us the room rate that is usually the pay now/non refundable rate, so we can cancel it or pay at the hotel. It depends on if the hotel wants you as a guest or not.
This is a great card as it also saves the credit card surcharge at the hotel too

    2. I used mine over the phone.
And it’s not on the fully flexible room rates. I have used to pay for a package rate and a discounted rate, and a non refundable rate. Any rate that is available to the public including the All limitless rates. Can’t use the gift cards to pay for an all Accor discover plus membership rates or red hot room rates. A

  3. Off topic, can you tell me any gift cards that can be used to pay your rates etc? Visa or something?

    1. It depends how you can pay them as they don’t all allow the same methods. If you can pay in-person or at AusPost then a TCN Eftpos card should work. If you can pay online then often a Coles Mastercard, Vanilla Visa or Vanilla Mastercard may also work as well, subject to purchase fees, of course.

It’s usually a good idea to buy one gift card when a promotion is on as a test before committing to buying any more.

  4. I have just been to two Woolworths in my hometown and the restaurant choice cards are not registered in their system so they are unable to sell them! not sure if that is just limited to local or national?

    Reply

    1. Me too! The staff said there might be an issue with the company that issues the card. So she’ll have to contact them. If they’re defective they will be instructed to destroy their current stock.
