If you’re planning a holiday anytime soon, this is the promotion you’ve been waiting for. Earn 10x Everyday Rewards points on Airbnb and Hoyts gift cards and 20x Everyday Rewards points on Webjet, Luxury Escapes and Kathmandu gift cards at Woolworths.
Whilst 10x points on Airbnb isn’t as good as the 20x points offer currently running at Big W, the advantage to this offer is that the variable load $25-500 Airbnb card is included and you can spend a lot more than just $1,000.
Here are the details:
- Runs from Wed 6 Dec to Tue 12 Dec 2023.
- Only available in-store at Woolworths.
- All denominations of Airbnb, Hoyts, Webjet, Luxury Escapes and Kathmandu gift cards are included.
- Limit of ten fixed value cards per day which can be bought across multiple transactions.
- Limit of ten variable load cards per day but they must be purchased in a single transaction each day.
- This offer is open to everyone and does not require activation.
How many gift cards can I buy?
To put it simply, if you’re buying the cards with a fixed values (e.g. $100, $200 etc) then you can buy up to ten each day and not have to worry about whether you purchase them in one or multiple transactions. However, if you’re buying the variable load cards (e.g. $25-500, $100-500 etc), you can still buy up to ten per day but you have to ensure that you only make one transaction for these cards each day.
Theoretically, this means you could purchase ten cards in a single transaction each loaded with $500 on them for a total of $5,000. However, in reality, most Woolworths store won’t allow you to purchase more than $1,000 worth of gift cards in a single transaction.
In fact, some set their limits to kick in at exactly $1,000, meaning the checkout will stop you if you try to add two cards each loaded with $500. If this happens to you, try loading one of the cards with $499 or $499.99 to get around the limit by keeping the total under $1,000.
If you need to buy more than $1,000 worth of variable load gift cards, it’s worth trying as some stores will permit you to buy that much in a single transaction, though it is likely that the store manager will need to sign off on it. Otherwise, your only option is to come back the next day or use multiple Everyday Rewards accounts.
Note also that the fixed and variable load limits are treated separately so if you buy ten variable load cards in one day you can still buy another ten fixed value cards.
Double dip
Don’t forget to click through the Airbnb page on Qantas Hotels when booking your Airbnb. This will let you earn an additional 1 point per dollar spent and, if it’s your first time booking an Airbnb stay via Qantas, you’ll also receive 500 bonus Qantas points.
