Whilst the terms suggest that this bonus is targeted, the last time American Express ran an offer like this it was seemingly open to anyone who added an additional card.
Also, the points are usually credited more or less instantly, not in 8-10 weeks as stated in the terms and conditions.
Terms and conditions
The Primary Card Member named above will receive 10,000 Bonus Points when they apply for an Additional Card by clicking on the link on this webpage by 29 May 2024. This offer is limited to the first approved Additional Card added. 10,000 Bonus Points will be awarded to the Primary Card Member’s Account 8 –10 weeks after the Additional Card is approved. The Primary Card Member cannot add an Additional Card under their own name or email address. They also cannot add an Additional Card under the name or email address of a previously approved Additional Card application on the Account. The Primary Card Member may apply for several Additional Cards across different products, but will only receive the 10,000 Bonus Points for the first approved Card. Any misuse, as reasonably determined by us, relating to your Additional Card application may result in Bonus Offers being reversed, and ineligibility from future and other promotions. This advertised offer is not applicable or valid in conjunction with any other advertised or promotional offer. This offer is only available to eligible Card Members who have received a direct invitation from American Express.
