How it works
Purchase these Ultimate gift cards in-store at Coles between 30 Sep and 6 Oct 2026 and scan your Flybuys card when paying to collect 2,000 bonus points on each of them.
You can earn the 2,000 bonus points up to five times. That’s five in total, not five per day or five times for each different gift card.
The day after your purchase you’ll receive 1x point per dollar at around 5pm and possibly also the 2,000 bonus points. However, it’s not uncommon for the bonus points to lag behind the standard points by a day or two.
The $100 denominations of these Ultimate gift cards should be avoided as they earn the same 2,000 bonus points as the $50 cards.
This promotion won’t be advertised in the Flybuys app, only in the Coles catalogue and on in-store posters. No activation is required as it’s open to all Flybuys members by default.
Make sure you only buy Ultimate (One4All) gift cards and not the similarly themed TCN (The Card Network) gift cards.

Whether you buy the five gift cards in one or multiple transactions makes zero difference.
Can i use the temporary Flybuys paper card to buy the giftcard and register later?
I don’t see why not. Coles do sometimes run promotions where they specifically require “fully registered” Flybuys cards but in this case it shouldn’t matter.
I’d definitely still recommend registering an account because if anything goes wrong with your paper card you’ll lose the points.
I’m wanting to buy a new iPhone from officeworks to maximize on points with onepass as well as gift cards from coles. I’m not in a hurry to buy the phone. So with this deal i will buy $250 of eligible gift cards. my questions are do you think there will be a deal with the variable gifts to load up on soon? and do you think if i’m just slowly buying gift cards and waiting the gift cards will be ‘safe’?
I think it’s very unlikely as I believe the last 20x points offer on variable load Officeworks-compatible Ultimate gift cards was all the way back in 2024.
If it were me I’d forget about the OnePass points and just buy from JB Hi-Fi. Get $250 in JB Hi-Fi-compatible gift cards from this offer and the rest from the Woolworths offer and then you’ll have your phone within the week instead of at some indeterminate point in the future.

Since they want to buy an iPhone, I am recommending that they buy the maximum of five $50 Ultimate Him, Home or Kids gift cards from this offer and then make up the rest using the TCN Gift and Teen gift cards from the Woolworths offer since it has more generous purchase limits. All of those gift cards can be used to buy an iPhone at JB Hi-Fi.

Two questions
If I want to convert the gift card to jb hi down the the track should I do it straight away to avoid this tampering issues.
Secondly so these cards sell out because th I just saw a stack of them.
If you’ll definitely be using them at JB Hi-Fi then you should convert them now. Tampering is less of a concern than the gift card operator removing the ability to swap them for JB Hi-Fi gift cards as they’ve done that in the past.
And yes, these are very likely to sell out fast.
Has anyone tested, if you can buy these using the Vanilla Visa Gift Cards?
Potentially you could use the visa vanilla gift cards and do a split payment at the self service checkout – just select credit when paying and use the enter button or select any number as a pin. I think! That is what I am going to try and attempt. 🙂
The Vanilla Visa gift cards should work but you can’t do split payments at Coles self checkouts when buying gift cards.
It’s a good idea to enter a PIN even if you don’t need to because otherwise some merchants (e.g. Coles) may require signature verification. Vanilla Visa gift cards with a 2030 or later expiry support PINs (any four digit number you enter the first time will work) but if you have one with a 2029 or earlier expiry your only option is to just press Enter and hope that they don’t ask for a signature.

Hi! I bought 4 gift cards in 1 transaction and 1 in another. I got 250 points from the 5 gift cards processed (the cost of the transaction) they combined it but I only got 2000 bonus points?
That’s normal. The rest of the bonus points will likely credit tomorrow at around 5-6pm but in some cases they can take a few extra days.

I bought my $250 worth of $50 gift cards and in coles app it showed 250 point earned. I got my flybuys account set up but hasn’t created coles account and linked my flybuys card yet until now. Am I eligible for the 2000 point?
And using another 2 flybuys cards, bought 5x $50 gift cards on the same day this Wednesday. One card received the points, while the other hasn’t confirmed anything. Is that normal for the lag?
