How it works
Scan your Everyday Rewards card when you buy any of these gift cards in-store at Woolworths between 30 Sep and 6 Oct 2026 and you should receive an instant 20x points per dollar spent.
Refer to the table below for the purchase limits for each included denomination:

Note that the $20-500 variable load TCN Teen and $75 Event Cinemas gift cards are excluded from this promotion. Only the denominations listed in the table above will earn 20x points.
If you’re planning a large JB Hi-Fi purchase, you may be able to buy as much as $1,800 in gift cards each day if you bought two $100 TCN Gift and ten each of the $30 and $50 TCN Gift and TCN Teen gift cards.
This is suggested as a possibility because it has long been the case with Woolworths promotions that the system applies the purchase limits to each individual gift card denomination rather than as an overall limit.
However, if you’re going to try it you should only proceed with the additional transactions if the checkout says that you’ve earned the points because if they don’t automatically credit you may have a hard time convincing Everyday Rewards to hand them over.
At JB Hi-Fi there is no limit on the number of gift cards you can redeem either in-store or online. For The Good Guys, however, you can only use unlimited gift cards in-store as their website has a maximum of three per transaction.
This promotion won’t be advertised in the Everyday Rewards app, only in-store at Woolworths and in the weekly specials catalogue. No activation or “boosting” is required.

If you get an error when trying to swap or convert your TCN gift card, registering usually solves the issue.

Okay now they are just blatantly restricting cards that can convert to JB gift cards.
First, no variable load cards, and now a limit of 2 x $100 TCN Gift under this promo. They are definitely shrinkflationing the benefit of these.
It could just be stinginess but I suspect it may actually have something to do with the fact that the large value denominations were always the number one target for scammers.
Believe it or not but they’ve actually been doing that since June 2024.
Can I buy 5 x $100 pub and bar as well as 5 x $50 gift card on the same day ? Or is the numbers limited to overall ?
The way the system treats the purchase limits is explained in the article. In any case, you would have no trouble buying five $100 TCN Pub & Bar and five $50 TCN Gift gift cards in one day.
What about 2x$50 restaurant and 2x$100 restaurant?
I was able to do that during the July offer.
If you’re unsure, just buy two $100 gift cards first and then do a second transaction for the $50 cards. If the points don’t come up on the screen after you press Pay Now you can tell staff that you changed your mind and wish to cancel the transaction.
Im sure it has been answered previously, can you use Jb gift cards to buy apple gift cards instore? I have done it before but it was many years ago.
It’s no longer officially allowed but as far as I know it still works – provided staff don’t stop you, of course. You might get away with it once or twice but if you’re planning to swap twenty TCN gift cards for Apple gift cards then you’re very likely going to run into trouble.

I’m pretty sure it has been answered and I love your work but what’s the best process for me to get an iphone 18 pro 512gb which cost ~$2500. I dont mind buying from in store or online but just want to make the maximum amount of points.
If it were me I would try to buy two $100 TCN Gift and ten each of the $30 TCN Gift, $50 TCN Gift, $30 TCN Teen and $50 TCN Teen gift cards. That could get you as much as $1,800 per day but you would have to buy 42 gift cards which may cause problems with Woolworths staff.
However, this would only work if the system still treats the purchase limits as per denomination rather than as an overall limit (as they likely intended). For that reason, you should only proceed with the additional transactions if the checkout says you’re going to receive all the points (it pops up on the screen after you press Pay Now).
To keep things simpler and safer, you could just buy two $100 TCN Gift and ten $50 TCN Gift or TCN Teen gift cards each day. That’s only $700 per day so you’d have to purchase them over four days. There will also be an offer at Coles next week that you could use to help lighten the load.

I’m going to try to do this on Wednesday to purchase a new phone and would like your advice.
Also, I need to spend $2,300 at JB, but the maximum is only $1,800 per day. Do you think it would be possible for me to spend $1.8k on gift cards whilst my partner spends the other $500 with his everyday rewards card?

Woolworths staff are much more relaxed about gift card purchases than Coles staff but then again I have never tried to buy 40+ gift cards in one day from a single store.
Yes. The limit is per Everyday Rewards account so if you have two accounts then your limit is doubled. Just keep in mind that the $1,800 maximum is theoretical and assumes that the purchase limit loophole hasn’t been closed. The “official” maximum for JB Hi-Fi-compatible gift cards would be $700 per day (two $100 TCN Gift and ten $50 TCN Gift/TCN Teen).
You could also wait for the Apple Gift Cards to return in early to mid November.
I need to make $5150 worth of purchases at JB Hi Fi, so I plan on maxing out the $1800 worth of gift card purchases over 3 days.

Yes. Pay attention to the checkout screen as it confirms how many points you’re going to receive right before you pay. If you don’t see any or it’s not the full amount then you may have done something wrong. Everyday Rewards are pretty forgiving but there are limits to how many points they can manually credit if you exceed the purchase limits or buy the incorrect gift cards.
99% of the time they are instant.
As I stated elsewhere, $1,800 is not the official limit for JB Hi-Fi-compatible gift cards, $700 is (two $100 TCN Gift and ten $50 TCN Gift or TCN Teen). I mention $1,800 as a possibility based on how the system has applied purchase limits during past offers but it requires you to buy a specific combination of denominations. Frankly, if you’re new to these promotions it’s probably easier if you just stick to the official limits.
This might be a dumb question but when buying the 2 x $100 and 10 x $50 cards, should it be done in one transaction? Or individual transactions?
Whether you buy them in one or multiple transactions makes no difference.
Woolies would only let me purchase 10x total cards 😭 she said it’s total cards not per denomination

When you digitise the physical TCN cards and set them up in your Apple Wallet does the physical card still also work or does switching deactivate it?
The physical card ceases to work after you convert to digital.
Is there a limit to the number of cards you can add to Apple Wallet? I successfully converted and added two Restaurant cards and a Pamper card. I added two more restaurant cards and they converted OK and appear in the TCN app but when I tap ‘Add to Apple Wallet’ for these two nothing happens.
I am also unable to view my card details in the TCN app so it may just be a temporary outage.

I bought two $100 restaurant cards. When trying to register them I get error “Please check your card details and try again or contact us for assistance”. It does say wait 24 hours after purchase before registering, but I’ve never had this issue before. Is it likely to fix itself after 24 hours?
TCN seem to be having some problems so there’s a special dance you have to do at the moment.
First attempt to convert the gift card and when it fails you’ll then be able to register it. Now you can go back and attempt to swap it again and it should work this time.

Are you following the exact steps (convert, register, convert)? Is your gift card a TCN Restaurant/Pub & Bar or one of the others in this offer?
For a while it’s been the case that you need to register your card first if you plan to convert/swap it fairly soon after purchasing (if you wait a day or two it isn’t required). It’s only very recently that you’ve had to attempt to convert/swap before you can even register the gift card.

The link in my previous comment is just for converting physical TCN merchant category gift cards (e.g. Restaurant, Pub & Bar etc) into digital ones.
For physical TCN multi-retailer gift cards, you can’t convert them into digital gift cards but you can swap them for selected partner gift cards (e.g. JB Hi-Fi) by going to the TCN website, selecting the retailer and following the prompts.
I haven’t swapped a TCN multi-retailer gift card recently but you may need to follow a similar process by attempting to swap, registering and then attempting to swap again.

On my iPhone using Safari, I frequently get the “Please check your card details and try again or contact us for assistance” message with TCN. I believe it may be related to Private Relay and the CAPTCHA verification. A second or third attempt usually does the trick. Otherwise, registering the Gift Card first seems to work. I can pretty much convert it to digital almost immediately.
Sorry if I missed this in the thread- I’ve got 40 of the ‘gift’ gift cards to redeem at jb hi fi on a new iPhone. Is the simplest method to take the physical cards in and swipe them one by one? Or do I need to convert to a digital card first (never done this so unsure how it works). Or, is it easier to order online and enter the card details myself…. Which feels like it might take hours 🤦🏼♀️
You can just swipe them as is for an in-store purchase. You only need to swap them for JB Hi-Fi digital gift cards if you’re shopping online.
Personally, I would prefer to swap them and pay online but it’s probably quicker just paying in-store. If you do go in-store, make sure to scratch the PINs in advance as that will speed things up.
I’d rather do it online and save myself the embarrassment in store / holding up the checkout line. But I’m also a bit nervous that something could go wrong doing it online

The only Event Cinemas $100 Gift Cards I can find are the Event Gold Class cards. Are these the same, and will they earn points as part of this promotion?
They will work. It’s just different packaging.

Yes. You could buy even more than two TCN Baby gift cards if you wanted to as the limit for that one is ten per day.

Contact Everyday Rewards. They will likely tell you to wait fourteen business days first but once that goes by you can call or message them and they’ll be able to credit the points on the spot.
