Earn up to 9x Qantas points per dollar spent when you buy selected gift cards on Qantas Marketplace by 17 Oct 2024. The included gift cards are:
- Amazon – 4x points
- DoorDash – 6x points
- David Jones – 5x points
- TCN Shop – 8x points
- Clinique – 8x points
- M.A.C. Cosmetics – 8x points
- Aveda – 8x points
- Bobbi Brown – 8x points
- Estee Lauder – 8x points
- Cotton On – 9x points
It used to be the case that you could only redeem points on gift cards on Qantas Marketplace but this past year they have gradually introduced the ability to purchase gift cards with cash, meaning you can now earn Qantas points from buying gift cards.
Whilst Woolworths run 20x Everyday Rewards points (= 10x Qantas points) promotions almost every week, there’s not much variety in the gift cards they offer. Qantas Marketplace has all sorts of gift cards that you won’t find in those Woolworths promotions (e.g. Amazon, DoorDash etc).
Unfortunately, this current boosted points offer excludes Airbnb, WISH, Woolworths, Bunnings and other popular gift cards. For those cards, you’ll only be able to earn the standard rate of 3x Qantas points per dollar spent.
If you’re interesting in buying the David Jones gift cards at 5x points, I’d recommend waiting for the 20x Flybuys points offer at Coles starting next week as you’ll get double the frequent flyer points, albeit Velocity rather than Qantas.
Note that Points Club and Points Club Plus members will earn the same amount of points as regular members in this offer as gift cards are excluded from the bonus points they earn on Qantas Marketplace.
Last but not least, the Vanilla Mastercard gift cards from the current Woolworths 10x points offer should work on Qantas Marketplace to buy these gift cards, though some people have reported having trouble getting them to go through. Vanilla/Coles Mastercard gift cards appear to no longer work on Qantas Marketplace.

I used the Mastercard gift card this morning to buy WISH cards on Qantas market place, but it only worked when I did it through the Qantas app, not the laptop.
Just purchased Amazon gift card using this week’s Vanilla Mastercard – no issues.
This worked yesterday for me, for a Woolies physical GC, but today I tried paying for the Amazon GC using the same Vanilla MasterCard and I’m being declined
Yup same, worked yesterday and now not working.
Woah why they excludes Point Club and Plus members??? How to workaround it? I believe many people in to points collecting would have Point Club and Plus easily……
Points Club and Points Club Plus members will still earn the same amount of points as everyone else, they just won’t earn the extra points that they get on other types of Qantas Marketplace purchases.
I tried to use vanilla to buy TCN shop gift card , declined
I have tried multiple times yesterday to use vanilla $500 Mastercard to purchase rebel sport gift card. issues everytime on laptop on different browsers and app.. Does anyone have any solutions?
