20x Everyday Rewards points on TCN Him, Her, Teen, Kids, Baby, Pub & Bar and Good Food gift cards at Woolworths

Earn 20x Everyday Rewards points per dollar spent on TCN Him, Her, Teen, Kids, Baby, Pub & Bar and Good Food gift cards at Woolworths.

Some of these TCN gift cards can be used at major brands like JB Hi-Fi, The Good Guys, Baby Bunting, Uber and Uber Eats.

Here are the details:

  • Runs from Wed 12 Feb to Tue 18 Feb 2025
  • Only available in-store at Woolworths
  • For TCN Kids and Teen variable load, limit of two per day
  • For all other gift cards, limit of ten per day
  • This offer is open to everyone and does not require activation

How it works

If this is your first time taking advantage of one of these bonus points promotions, all you have to do is scan your Everyday Rewards card when purchasing any of these gift cards in-store at Woolworths between 12 Feb and 18 Feb 2025.

The checkout screen should state how many points you are going to earn just before you pay. After the transaction is complete, the points should be immediately visible in your Everyday Rewards account. On rare occasions, there are sometimes delays with the points but most of the time they’re instant.

Whilst most gift cards in this offer are subject to a ten per day limit, the $20-500 variable load denominations of the TCN Kids and Teen gift cards have a lower limit of just two cards per day.

These offers are usually only advertised in-store and in the catalogue. You won’t find it in your Everyday Rewards app but that’s to be expected. No activation or “boosting” is required as all members are eligible to earn the 20x points.

If you buy the TCN Pub & Bar or Good Food gift cards, you should convert them into the digital versions via their respective websites as the physical cards are incompatible with some payment terminals (e.g. Square).

If you’re having trouble swapping or converting your TCN gift card, try registering it here first as that usually solves the issue.

  1. I think I’ve seen these gift cards promo with baby bunting more often for Woolies than Coles. Do you think there’s any chance there will be a 20x points for gift cards with baby bunting at Coles anytime soon? Thanks!

    Reply

    1. Every year for the past five years Coles have run an offer on TCN Baby gift cards early in March. The last three years they have all been 1,000 points offers on $50 and $100 cards which works out to be 21x points per dollar if you buy the $50 cards (when it’s a fixed bonus like this you also get 1x Flybuys point per dollar spent).

      1. I have seen pamper gift cards frequently. I believe they work on mcc code 7011, although I have not tried it. Any confirmation or experience on that?

        Reply

      2. I’ve heard of people successfully using both the TCN Pamper and Good Food gift cards at hotels (7011), though in the case of the Good Food gift card it’s not actually one of the officially supported MCCs.

  2. The 2 per day for the variable load cards, is that of each type, so 2x teen and 2x kids = 4 total?

    Reply

    1. Officially, it’s two overall but in previous promotions Woolworths have applied the limit individually to each gift card. Assuming that hasn’t changed, you may be able to buy two variable load TCN Kids AND two variable load TCN Teen gift cards in a single day. However, if you’re willing to attempt this then I’d recommend that you only buy the second batch if the checkout shows you as having earned the points (it says it on the screen just before you pay) so that you can back out of the transaction if it looks like they’re not going to automatically credit.

      1. Any idea how many cards you can buy at self-checkout before a staff needs to be intervene to approve? Always just assumed the express check-out lane would be faster/easier but I might try this next time.

        Reply

      2. It depends on the store as they have different staff approval thresholds but if you’re buying ten $100 cards or something then yes, you are usually better off going through a staffed checkout. Most of the time I’m only buying one or two gift cards so self-checkouts make more sense.

  3. Hello,
Can you use these gift cards online ? Or just instore ? Specifically curious as to whether you can use them through the Qantas online mall ( tracking your purchase with the the cookies to double dip in points that way )

    Thanks Olivia

    1. It depends on the retailer you plan to use them at. If you go to the page for each gift card on the TCN website and select your desired from the list of retailers displayed you can see whether they work online, in-store or both.

Most, if not all, retailers listed on Qantas Shopping exclude purchases made with gift cards in their terms and conditions but in some cases this may not be enforced so you can sometimes double dip on points.

    1. The TCN Restaurant gift card has the added advantage of unofficially supporting fast food restaurants whereas the Pub & Bar gift card will not work at any business categorised as fast food. Regular restaurants and eating places should be fine but there may be some instances where a business is classified as fast food even though it doesn’t seem like it should be. I’ve written a bit more about how the Pub & Bar gift card works here.

  4. Hi,
If you convert the Pub and/or good food ones from physical to digital, do they stack ?
e.g. i buy 4×100$ physical ones and then convert them to 400$ digital gift card ?
We normally go to bit higher end restaurants and I think it would be bit weird to pay my $800 bill with $100 gift cards 🙂

    1. Can’t talk with the others but I have a few Pub & Bar giftcards and yeah never been able to combine unfortunately

    2. 5 of us went to a “significant birthday” dinner. With appetizers, mains, dessert, alcohol and coffee our bill came to $1099. We paid with 10 x $100 gift cards and the balance on my Amex. I did call the restaurant in advance to ask if that would be OK. And they had no issue with it.

  5. Is the ten cards per day per denomination ? So you can buy 10x$30 and 10x$100 or just 10 in total?

    Reply

    1. Officially, it’s an overall limit of ten fixed value gift cards per day. However, in previous promotions we have noticed that Woolworths have actually applied the limit to each individual card type. Assuming that hasn’t changed, you may be able to buy ten TCN Him, ten TCN Her, ten TCN Good Food etc gift cards all on the same day. I have never seen anyone test whether you can exceed the limit by buying different denominations of the same gift card (e.g. ten $100 TCN Him and ten $50 TCN Him) but I suppose it could be possible.

If you’re willing to try this, I’d recommend only proceeding with the second transaction if the checkout shows you as having earned the points (it says how many you are going to receive after you press Pay Now but before you actually pay). If it doesn’t and you still buy the gift cards then you’ll likely miss out on the points.

  6. Hello, does anyone know how many gift cards you can use per in-store transaction at JB Hifi? In the event I can’t find the multi denomination cards and have to buy quite a few $100 ones 😅 thanks

    1. Go to the TCN Him website, select Uber from the list of retailers and then follow the steps to swap your gift card for an Uber gift card. If you get an error after entering your card’s details, register it here before trying again as recently purchased gift cards seem to require registration before you can swap them for some reason.

  7. I didn’t get the points instantly after purchasing 2x $100 TCN him cards – in this situation how long would it take to receive the points?

    Reply

    1. I’ve read in a few places that there was an issue with Woolworths’ systems yesterday which is why some people didn’t receive them right away. In at least one case, the points credited overnight. If you haven’t received yours, you can try contacting Everyday Rewards but chances are they’ll just tell you to wait fourteen business days as per the terms and conditions.

  8. When you spent $21k on the card vouchers , what did you spend it on ? As in all in Woollworths or the partners and why $21k ?

Also how does it work, do you have to buy the Gift Cards in-store at the checkout Terminal, do you lose money in doing so, ie is there an activation cost or price of doing business using the gift cards or is it 1:1 , so just a matter of using them?

I presume this is in reference to my article about earning 600,000 Everyday Rewards points? If so, the bulk of that was spent on prepaid Visa, Mastercard and Eftpos gift cards I could use more or less anywhere.

do you have to buy the Gift Cards in-store at the checkout Terminal

The vast majority of these offers are in-store only, yes. I’ve written a guide about buying gift cards for the bonus points which you may find helpful.

      is there an activation cost

Sometimes yes. As a general rule, the only gift cards that charge purchase fees are prepaid Visa, Mastercard and Eftpos gift cards you can use anywhere. Gift cards that are limited to specific retailers or merchant categories don’t usually have purchase fees.

  9. What about SMSF Superannuation and earning points on expenses within the super fund, like tax, strata fees, council rates etc

    Reply

    1. You’d need to wait for an offer on prepaid Visa, Mastercard or Eftpos gift card for things like that. Bonus points on those types of gift cards are quite common so we will very likely see another one within the next month or so.
