Earn 20x Everyday Rewards points per dollar spent on all denominations of Apple gift cards in-store at Woolworths.
These Apple gift card 20x points offers are run with such numbing regularity that they don’t seem very interesting but if you’re planning an Apple purchase they’re a great way to earn a tonne of easy points.
For example, buying $2,000 worth of Apple gift cards would see you earn 40,000 Everyday Rewards points. That’s enough points to buy $200 worth of groceries or to fly business class from Sydney to Melbourne.
Here are the details:
- Runs from Wed 5 Mar to Tue 11 Mar 2025
- Only available in-store at Woolworths
- Limit of ten fixed value gift cards per day
- Limit of ten variable load gift cards per day
- This offer is open to everyone and does not require activation
How it works
Buy any denominations of Apple gift cards in-store at Woolworths between 5 Mar and 11 Mar 2025 and present your Everyday Rewards card at the checkout to earn 20x points per dollar spent. The points should immediately credit to your account after you pay.
You can buy up to ten fixed value and ten variable load Apple gift cards per day. The fixed value cards are the ones marked $20, $30, $50, $100 or $200 whilst the variable load cards are the ones labelled $20-500 where you can choose the amount you want to load on the card.
This offer will be advertised in the Woolworths 5 Mar 2025 catalogue and possibly also via some in-store posters (if staff can be bothered to put them up). You may see it in your Everyday Rewards app but you don’t need to “boost” it as it’s automatically available for all members.
You can pay for an Apple device online using your Apple account balance (loaded with up to $4,999 worth of gift cards) plus another eight unredeemed gift cards on top so very large purchases are possible.
If you’re buying an iPhone, iPad, Mac etc, it’s worth checking if other retailers such as Amazon or JB Hi-Fi are cheaper as Apple will price match them up to a maximum of 10% off if you call them on 133-622. You can still pay with gift cards when ordering by phone.
Apple have just introduced a new version of their gift cards that use more tamper-resistant packaging. Some stores may still be carrying the older version which you should check for signs of tampering before purchasing. More info about this scam can be found here.

Hi There – do you know if our monthly 10% Woolworths X discount can be used in a transaction when purchasing a gift card? Thank you.
Unfortunately not
I have Woolworths extra. Do I get double points?
You don’t, sadly.
Hi there – can you use EFTPOS gift cards bought at Woolworths to purchase the Apple gift cards?
It’s always been possible in the past so I would expect so.
I want to buy 2 iPhone 16e which are $1199 on Apple’s website. Is it worth price matching other retailers who are selling $1197 or does that just introduce more trouble than it’s worth since I want to also do a trade-in.
So that’ll be $2398. So I’m guessing 4x $500 and 1x $398 gift card.
I don’t think they’ll price match and trade in together. Considering it’s only $4 you’ll save probably not a worry.
Do you know how many devices you can trade in? Is it 1 per phone purchase or unlimited? etc.
I get confused on Gift cards but can see it coudl be the key to really getting serious points, So first question is do I buy in-store at the check out screen ? Second question , how do I use the vouchers, ie are they 1 for 1 ?
You have to buy them in-store at Woolworths but you can choose to either go through a regular checkout or the self-service checkouts. As for using the gift cards, I’ve written an article about how Apple gift cards work that you might like to consult.
This is probably worth noting in an article somewhere.
Today I had a wonderful experience when trying to purchase $4000 worth of Apple gifts cards (I am buying a new MacBook). I went into Woolworths Marrickville and took the cards to the cashier. She tried to do all cards in one transaction but apparently the system only allows up to $1000. So she had to split it into 4 transactions. I was able to pay for two transactions until my bank flagged my credit card for fraudulent activity (CommBank). So I spent 30 mins on the phone at Woolies to try and resolve the blocked card. Eventually I got it cleared and was able to leave the store with all 8 cards, about an hour later 😅
Often there is a $1,000 gift card purchase limit but staff can override this, though sometimes you may need a manager to do it. I’m not surprised your bank flagged it as multiple large transactions back to back certainly would seem suspicious. I’m glad you managed to get it sorted in the end.
