The TCN Shop gift card can be swapped for an Uber & Uber Eats gift card whilst the TCN Deluxe card can be used at Baby Bunting, among other retailers.
The TCN Restaurant and Pub & Bar cards are perhaps the most useful ones in this offer as they can be spent at almost any restaurant or drinking place (excluding fast food*).

- For TCN Restaurant and variable load Deluxe, a limit of two per day.

How it works
To earn 20x points, simply buy any of these TCN or Google Play gift cards at Woolworths between 11 Sep and 17 Sep 2024, ensuring that you scan your Everyday Rewards card at the time of purchase. The points should then be immediately visible in your account.
If you’re buying TCN Restaurant or the variable load $20-500 TCN Deluxe card, remember that you can only buy two per day. For all the other cards the limit is a more generous ten per day.
Lately Woolworths have been applying the purchase limits to each individual card in an offer. If that’s also the case for this promotion, you should be able to buy two TCN Restaurant, two TCN Deluxe, ten TCN Shop etc all on the same day.
As always, you don’t need to activate or “boost” this offer because it is open to all members by default. The only place it’ll be advertised is in the Woolworths catalogue for 11 Sep 2024 and possibly also via some posters at the in-store gift card display.

TCN Restaurant gift cards can be used at Eating Places and Restaurants (5812) or Drinking Places (5813). Convert your physical Restaurant card into a digital one here so that you can add it your mobile wallet (e.g. Apple Pay). For whatever reason, this digital version of the TCN Restaurant card works at Fast Food Restaurants (5814) despite not officially supporting it.
TCN Pub & Bar gift cards can be used at Eating Places and Restaurants (5812), Drinking Places (5813) and Country Clubs (7997). Convert your physical Restaurant card into a digital one here so that you can add it your mobile wallet (e.g. Apple Pay).

Can the TCN restaurant one be used to dine at IKEA?
Can I use the vanilla visa gift cards to buy these?
It should work but there’s always a chance that could change so definitely have a backup plan for your Visas if it’s no longer possible when you go to do it.
Really!? This has worked in the past? Are Visa cards different in some way so that they can be used to purchase other gift cards?
Woolworths block you from using Vanilla Visas to purchase some gift cards (e.g. more Vanilla Visas) but these restrictions evidently do not apply to all gift cards they sell.
Tried to use to buy the Restaurant Gift Card today at Woolies and the transaction was declined. It did ask for a pin number which I didn’t have. Put any 4 digit number. The attendant said that this gift card is not allowed. Any clue?

It should work but things may change at any moment so have a backup plan for your Mastercards in case it no longer works.

None of these gift cards work at JB Hi-Fi, unfortunately. It shouldn’t be long before we see a promotion on TCN or Ultimate gift cards that can be used at JB, Officeworks, The Good Guys etc. Likely within a month if I had to guess.
Is there a certain restaurant gift card for this promotion as my Woolworths looks like they may have the old branding – still TCN?
You need to buy the dark brown “Restaurant Gift Card” that is produced by TCN (The Card Network). Don’t get it confused with the “Restaurant Choice” gift card by Blackhawk Network as that one won’t earn any points. The TCN Restaurant gift card used to be orange and yellow but it’s unlikely that any Woolworths stores still have that older version in stock.
Is there a way to consolidate 5x TCN Restaurant Gift Cards so I can use it all in one transaction?
Not that I’m aware of, no. You would have to ask the restaurant if you can pay using multiple cards.

Woolworths only sell the TCN Restaurant gift card in $50 and $100 denominations as far as I know.

You can’t use Woolworths gift cards to purchase other gift cards. None of these gift cards have purchase fees.
Is there a way to find out if a certain restaurant or fast food location suits that particular number type??
Possibly but it’s not always easy. If it’s a major chain or brand then someone may have already found out which merchant category code they use. If it’s an independent cafe or something then you could potentially either ask them or if you’ve previously spent money there then your bank may be willing to tell you (not all do, for some reason).
If you have an Android phone, the TCN app will actually list the MCC for each transaction whether it’s approved or declined. The iOS version of the app doesn’t display this information, bizarrely.
Can you use the Pub and Bar gift card at all restaurants as well? This post indicates you can but then I wonder what’s the difference between the P&B gift card and the restaurant gift card?
Officially, both cards support Eating Places and Restaurants (5812) and Drinking Places (5813). The Pub & Bar goes even further as it also supports Country Clubs (7997).
However, the Restaurant card has one trick up its sleeve: if you convert it to a digital gift card you can use it at Fast Food Restaurants (5814) despite that not being officially supported. The Pub & Bar can’t do that but if you’re not planning on using it for fast food then that shouldn’t matter.

Yes. You need to here, select Go Digital and then enter your card’s details. If it won’t let you convert your card into a digital version then you should try registering it first.
