For the first time in over two months, Woolworths will be offering 20x Everyday Rewards points per dollar spent on all denominations of Apple gift cards purchased at Woolworths. If you’re unfamiliar with these gift cards, they can be used to pay for devices, apps and subscriptions sold though Apple.
Here are the details:
- Runs from Wed 17 Apr to Tue 23 Apr 2024.
- Only available in-store at Woolworths.
- Limit of ten fixed value gift cards per day which can be purchased across multiple transactions.
- Limit of ten variable load gift cards per day which must be purchased in a single transaction each day.
- This offer is open to everyone and does not require activation.
How do I take advantage of this offer?
Scan your Everyday Rewards card when purchasing any Apple gift cards between 17 and 23 April. The checkout will tell you how many points you have earned on the screen just before payment. After you’ve paid, the points should appear in your account immediately.
This promotion is from the catalogue so you likely won’t see it advertised in the Everyday Rewards app. You don’t have to activate or “boost” it as it’s open to all Everyday Rewards members.
If you’re buying more than one of the variable load $20-500 Apple gift cards, make sure you purchase them all in the same transaction as the terms and conditions limit you to one transaction per day for these variable load cards. The fixed value gift cards can be bought across multiple transactions.
Double dip
Don’t forget to click through the Apple page on Qantas Shopping to earn an extra 1x Qantas point per dollar spent on your Apple purchases. Whilst the Velocity eStore also allows you to earn Velocity points with Apple, its terms and conditions exclude purchases with gift cards.
Apple only allows you to use up to eight gift cards at a time but there’s a super easy workaround; just add the gift cards to your Apple account. You can have up to $4,999 in your account and pay using that balance plus another eight gift unused cards on top.
If you another retailer is selling your desired Apple device at a discount you can ask Apple to price match them by calling them on 133-622. They’ll match up to 10% off but because this needs to be done over the phone, you won’t also be able to earn the extra Qantas Shopping points.
How many points will I earn?
Warning
One last thing to keep in mind is that a small number of people have reported receiving tampered Apple gift cards from Woolworths and Coles that cannot be redeemed. Tampered cards can be hard to open and the cards inside the packaging sometimes have the wrong dollar amount on them. The serial number on the outside of the gift card packet also may not match the one on the inside. Check your gift cards before paying and if you notice that some have been tampered with, don’t buy them.

I noticed in my Rewards app that there was the option to Boost Apple gift cards, not sure if it was necessary because I did boost just in case.
It’s not necessary. They sometimes promote these in-store offers in the app but they always state in the terms that boosting isn’t required.
