2,000 Flybuys points on Mastercard gift cards at Coles

Flybuys

For only the third time this year, earn 2,000 bonus Flybuys points on $100 and $250 Coles Mastercard prepaid gift cards at Coles. Plus, you also earn 1x Flybuys point per dollar spent.

These Coles Mastercard deals are always incredibly popular because you can use them almost anywhere Mastercard is accepted both in-store and online. Unless something has recently changed, they should even work to pay the ATO.

If you bought five $100 Mastercard gift cards, you would receive a total of 10,525 Flybuys points (worth over $50 or convertible to 5,000 Velocity points) for just $25 in card purchase fees.

Here are the details:

  • Runs from Wed 12 Nov to Tue 18 Nov 2025
  • Only available in-store at Coles
  • Limit of five gift cards per Flybuys account
  • $5 fee on $100 card, $7 fee on $250 card
  • This offer is open to everyone and does not require activation

How it works

To earn the bonus points, simply buy these $100 or $250 Coles Mastercard gift cards in-store at Coles between 12 Nov and 18 Nov and scan your Flybuys card when paying.

You can buy up to five gift cards in total per Flybuys account. That’s not five per day, it’s five in total for the duration of the offer. If you need more than that, you could use your family members’ Flybuys accounts to buy more gift cards.

Unlike Woolworths, Coles don’t tell you on the checkout or your receipt if you’ve actually earned the points but they usually credit to your account the following day at around 5pm, although sometimes the bonus points can lag behind the standard points by a day or two.

This promotion is available nationwide and no activation is required in order to earn the bonus points. You’ll find the offer advertised not in your Flybuys app but in the Coles catalogue for your state or territory plus also possibly on posters at the in-store gift card displays – if staff can be bothered to put them up.

Both the $100 and $250 Mastercards earn the same fixed bonus of 2,000 Flybuys points so most people tend to just stick to the $100s because they cost less and the purchase fee is lower too ($5 rather than $7). That also means the $100 denominations usually sell out well before the $250 cards.

Whilst they now use more tamper-resistant packaging, it’s still a good idea to tear open your Mastercard gift cards as soon as you’ve paid to confirm that someone hasn’t tried to scratch off or obscure the card number or security code (CVV). This guide shows you what signs to check for.

    1. Unless something has changed recently that should still work. Maybe try it with a single card first before buying more if that’s the only use you have for them.
