Earn 20x Everyday Rewards points on all denominations of Apple gift cards at Woolworths. You can use Apple gift cards to pay for devices, apps and subscriptions sold by Apple.
This could be your last chance to earn 20x points on Apple gift cards until November as in both 2022 and 2023 there were no Apple gift card promotions in September and October, presumably because that’s when the new iPhones are released.
Here are the details:
- Runs from Wed 14 Aug to Tue 20 Aug 2024.
- Only available in-store at Woolworths.
- Limit of ten fixed value gift cards per day.
- Limit of ten variable load gift cards per day.
- This offer is open to everyone and does not require activation.
How it works
Buy any Apple gift cards at Woolworths between 14 Aug and 20 Aug 2024 and scan your Everyday Rewards card at the checkout. After you’ve paid, the points should be immediately credited to your account.
The promotion rules limit you to a maximum of ten fixed value cards and ten variable load cards per day. Unlike with previous promotions, you are now no longer required to pay for the variable cards in a single transaction.
The two daily purchase limits can be combined so you could potentially buy as much ten $200 fixed value cards plus ten variable cards loaded with $500 for a daily total of $7,000.
This promotion is from the Woolworths catalogue so it won’t appear in your Everyday Rewards app. You don’t need to activate or “boost” the offer to earn the 20x points as it’s available to all Everyday Rewards members automatically.
As mentioned earlier, this may well be your last opportunity to earn 20x points on Apple gift cards until November as in previous years they have stopped running these promotions around the time the new iPhones release. It may be worth stocking up now if you think you’ll need them in the next couple of months.
Apple has an eight gift card limit but it’s not hard to get around this limit if you just redeem your gift cards onto your Apple account. You can pay using a combination of your Apple account balance (up to $4,999) plus another eight unredeemed gift cards on top.
Before buying an Apple device, check to see if another retailer (e.g. Amazon, JB Hi-Fi, Officeworks etc) has it for a cheaper price as Apple will price match up to 10% off if you call them on 133-622. You can pay for a price matched order with gift cards or an Apple account balance.
Previously, you could earn extra Qantas points on your Apple purchases by clicking through their page on Qantas Shopping. However, they recently changed their terms and conditions to specifically exclude purchases made with gift cards. It’s not yet clear whether or not this rule is enforced.
Warning: There have been a number of reports from people who have bought Apple gift cards that have been tampered with. Check your cards before you pay to see if the serial number on the inside matches the one on the outside. If they don’t match, don’t buy.

You can now redeem your Apple Account balance in store using the wallet pass.
Thanks for the tip on the tampered cards. My local Woolies insisted on opening them in front of me before scanning them through and sure enough, they caught a few mismatching ones!
My Woolworths only let me buy 2x variable at $500 each, so be mindful you may have to do multiple trips to get the value you want.
