10x Everyday Rewards points on Eftpos gift cards at Woolworths

Earn 10x Everyday Rewards points per dollar spent on $50, $100 and $20-500 TCN Eftpos gift cards at Woolworths. These gift cards can be used basically anywhere Eftpos is accepted, just not online as you need to physically swipe the cards.

Each $500 card you buy has a $7.95 purchase fee but for that you earn 2,500 Qantas points or $25 worth of Everyday Rewards Dollars. That’s a cheap way to boost your points balance.

Here are the details:

  • Runs from Wed 30 Oct to Tue 5 Nov 2024.
  • Only available in-store at Woolworths.
  • For fixed value cards, a limit of five per day.
  • For variable load cards, a limit of two per day.
  • Gift card purchase fees apply ($5.95-7.95).
  • Excludes Merindah-Gunya and Luxury Eftpos gift cards.
  • This offer is open to everyone and does not require activation.

How it works

Just scan your Everyday Rewards card at the checkout when buying any of these gift cards at Woolworths between 30 Oct and 5 Nov 2024 and you’ll instantly earn 10x Everyday Rewards points per dollar spent.

Make sure you keep in mind the purchase limits as you can only buy two of the variable load $20-500 cards per day. These ones are likely to sell out quickly so make sure you go first thing Wednesday if you want to maximise your chances of finding some.

If you’re wondering why this promotion isn’t showing up in your Everyday Rewards app, it’s because they never advertise them in there. Usually they’re only found in the Woolworths catalogue and also sometimes on posters at the in-store gift card display.

The best card to buy

As you can see from the table below, the only TCN Eftpos denomination worth buying in this offer is the $20-500 card loaded with $500.

    1. I’ve seen many reports of people using these cards to pay bills at AusPost so I would expect so. Just note that some AusPost staff don’t like it when you try to pay a bill with a gift card.

      1. Thanks. Fortunately my local PO has staff that are fine with gift cards. I just haven’t used the TCN ones before.

  1. Looks like all the Woolworths in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne are already out of these, pretty stupid that they are running the Luxury card promotion this week and have already sold out (like the Mastercard a couple of weeks back) most stores didn’t have them before the promotion even started. Unless Woolworths have a batch coming this week, don’t expect to get any luxury cards.

    1. Woolworths will let you split the payment when purchasing gift cards at self-service checkouts, regular checkouts and the service desk.

    1. If you can pay at Australia Post then possibly, though it will be subject to staff discretion.

  3. Can I use this to buy the Apple gift card next week, if Woolworths also have a 20x points offer?

    1. It should still work at both Coles and Woolworths, though there’s always a chance that may change so be prepared for that possibility.

    1. They function exactly the same way but they’re treated as different products in Woolworths’ system so if there is a promotion on one you can’t just buy the other.

  4. Already sold out, why do they keep offering promotions for cards they don’t have! Even the smaller denominations a slim on the ground.

    1. They have them, my local WW had heaps of them last night, but they all get taken at 6am. The amount of customers going in looking for them in busy areas is insane.

      1. I don’t buy that, I scoped some of the stores in my area beforehand (last week after the promotion was announced), and they didn’t have them, went to a couple of stores today and they didn’t have them, queried the staff at two stores and was told by both that they didn’t have them and they are frequently getting abused by angry people who can’t get them. I think they have just underestimated the popularity of these promotions.

    1. I complained at my local and they said they’ve been ordering them but never received any.
I then overheard them talking about how ‘everyone is asking for the variable cards, we need to get more’

  5. Has anyone tried to reload the Australia Post everyday prepaid debit MasterCard with EFTPOS cards?

  6. Do you need to activate the cards before use and do you need a PIN code? The Mastercard gift cards get activated automatically the next day and sign instead of using PIN.

    1. Activated automatically minutes after purchase in my case. There’s a scratch area in the back for the 4 digit pin.

    1. No promises but I would be quite surprised if it didn’t work at at least one of those places.
