10-20x Everyday Rewards points on Luxury Eftpos, Vanilla Visa and Uber & Uber Eats gift cards at Woolworths

Thanks to an anonymous source for letting us know about this promotion early.

Earn 10x Everyday Rewards points on $20-500 TCN Luxury Eftpos and $100 Vanilla Visa gift cards and 20x points on Uber & Uber Eats gift cards at Woolworths.

The Luxury Eftpos card can be used anywhere physical Eftpos cards are accepted – it’s not just for “luxury” purchases. If you buy one of these cards loaded with $500, you’re essentially paying just $7.95 (the purchase fee) to earn 2,500 Qantas points or $25 worth of Everyday Rewards Dollars.

If you’re buying Uber & Uber Eats gift cards, don’t forget that you can use them to pay for orders and rides you made up to 30 days ago by switching the payment on past orders to use gift cards you’ve just added to your account.

Here are the details:

  • Runs from Wed 15 May to Tue 21 May 2024.
  • Only available in-store at Woolworths.
  • Limit of two $20-500 variable load Luxury Eftpos cards per day (one transaction per day).
  • Limit of five $100 Vanilla Visa cards per day (multiple transactions allowed).
  • Limit of ten Uber & Uber Eats cards per day (multiple transactions allowed).
  • Gift card purchase fees apply for Luxury Eftpos ($7.95) and Vanilla Visa ($5.95).
  • This offer is open to everyone and does not require activation.

How do I take advantage of this offer?

Scan your Everyday Rewards card at the checkout when buying any of these gift cards between 15 May and 21 May at Woolworths. You’ll earn 10x Everyday Rewards points per dollar spent on the $20-500 Luxury Eftpos and $100 Vanilla Visa gift cards, whilst the Uber & Uber Eats gift cards will earn 20x points.

When you add both the gift cards and your Everyday Rewards card to the checkout, it should state on the final screen before you pay just how many points you are going to earn. If you don’t see this, it’s possible you have selected gift cards that aren’t included in this promotion.

After you’ve paid, the points should be immediately visible in your Everyday Rewards account. If you’ve set your rewards preference to Qantas points, the Everyday Rewards points should then automatically convert to Qantas points.

This promotion is from the catalogue so it’s open to all Everyday Rewards members and doesn’t require you to activate or “boost” anything. It won’t be shown in your Everyday Rewards app, though you may see some posters in-store at the gift card display.

Make sure you keep in mind the purchase limits as they differ for each card. Also, don’t make the mistake of buying an ineligible card – only the ones specifically listed above are included in this offer.

If you’re buying two of the Luxury Eftpos gift cards, make sure you buy them in the one transaction as that’s a requirement for this promotion. If the checkout won’t let you add two cards loaded with $500, try loading one of them with $499 or $499.99 to keep the total under $1,000.

    1. Most likely, yes. It seemed like a lot of people were able to do so during the last promotion so there’s no reason to think that it won’t be possible this time around.

    1. The Luxury Eftpos card needs to be physically swiped – it cannot be used online. The Vanilla Visa card can be used online but since this offer only includes the $100 card I would not recommend buying it.

    1. I would expect so. Note that there will likely be a 20x points promotion on Apple gift cards later this month so that might be worth waiting for.

      2. But you could use the 10x Luxury GC from WW to buy the 20x Apple gift cards at Coles that will start at the same day, correct?

  1. If using the Luxury GC to pay for items purchased at Woolworths, do you still receive bonus points or booster points for the usual Everyday Rewards offers?

    1. Some stores run out quickly, I talked to a couple of store managers and they said there is usually a queue of people waiting outside when the shop opens, they run in and buy all the vouchers and this happened multiple times.

      1. The general rule at Woolworths is that you can use prepaid Visa/Eftpos/Mastercard gift cards to pay for most gift cards with the exception of other prepaid Visa/Eftpos/Mastercard gift cards as well as Woolworths’ own gift cards.

  4. Can you use the luxury F Poss gift card to buy the vanilla visa gift card?
If it helps anyone, I tried to use the vanilla Visa gift card from a previous Woolworths promotion to buy the luxury card today and that did not work. I also tried it to buy the vanilla card today and that did not work.

    1. I would expect not. As mentioned above, Woolworths doesn’t allow you to use one prepaid Visa/Eftpos/Mastercard gift card to purchase another.
